the mel's diner listening party    anyone who got there after like 5:40PM had to wait about 4 hours to get in.. the music was so low volume that you couldn't hear the album.. colton (store owner) did try and make it work but.. it wasn't it

on the bright side they did give out pins that were apparently "designed by lana with mel's, since she's a friend of the family, and she wants the fans here to know that she appreciates and loves you so much"

i also talked to a guy who was hired by charlie to film/take pics of the event.. he was an open book LMFAO if only y'all knew.. he was adorable tho x

Let the Light In is probably never going to touch my Top 5 on this album (too much competition), but I absolutely LOVE her placement within the album. The song just feels so good when it appears after such an emotionally heavy stretch. I adore it.

It’s actually real life story of Elizabeth Short knows as Black Dahlia. Her murder is still unsolved mystery with really really disturbing images on web.

That little teaser made me so excited

But why did she call it a visualizer... it's not even the song  it should be teaser or trailer

No way did she get made up, hire a director, stand in front of a camera for the only visual to be a little loop of her standing in front of a camera.

You spilled. Lana actually announcing something herself, or letting her team make an official announcement, would be so much more exciting and effective than some random insider spoiling the surprise a few days/weeks before she is ready to do it herself.

Insiders can be fun, but at the end of the day they are doing Lana and her team a disservice by announcing that there will be an announcement. It's not really a surprise if you announce is it it?

I hope lana can give some insight on how she's able to perhaps, streamline her stream of consciousness writing process. what worked, what didn't work, did she have any references of people doing similar work, etc. naturally it's something intuitive to build that muscle but certainly there must be some tool that's able to draw more than others, if that makes any sense...

I’m so glad our insiders didn’t mention the Norman sample.  we weren’t expecting that one and it was a serve.

Can yall believe we are getting an album with the entirety of A&W at the beginning and ending with a sample of VB at the end? We truly won.

Ocean Blvd and A&W for some reason to me feel very much like lyrical successors to some of earlier/raunchier shit like Gods and Monsters, Cola, Sad Girl, Your Girl, Fucked My Way, etc. Even that Ride monologue.

She's kind of flaunting being the other woman/her sexual prowess with all the "open me up, tell me you like it, fuck me to death" "fuck on the hotel floor" etc etc etc...just like Cola, Gods and Monsters, parts of Sad Girl, etc

but at the same time knowing it'll never really satisfy her & has knocked down her self-esteem AND her reputation. "love me until i love myself," "my body marred my mind," "wondering what went wrong," "jimmy only loves me when he wants to get high" and the whole rape/asking for it tangent....just like Your Girl, where she's all miserable cause she's not his main girl, the rest of Sad Girl, the Ride monologue where she's crying about being the other woman....

she's so interesting omg i could go on and on
