AOTY incoming. Her frame of mind, the reception, the print visuals, the music, is so perfect this era, everything is aligning for another career-defining moment.
 
I adore what Jack had to say about her in the RS interview. He recognizes the immense talent he’s working with and the impact that she’s made outside of and before their collaborations. I’ve had issues with some of Jack’s production choices but don’t feel hate towards him, because when they get it right it’s so fucking right.

I have this feeling that this will be her most acclaimed album. 10 on Pitchfork with Fingertips being Best New Track and probably a 90+ on Metacritic (would love a 100)

I guess it's hard to make a ranking when all the songs are good.

I interpreted this as, she was enthusiastic making the music for herself, but the idea of creating an album, promoting it and releasing it as a commercial product for people to critique made her unenthusiastic because she didn’t want a repeat of the slander of 2012. I think she’s carefree now. Maybe it took releasing Blue Banisters, an album she wanted no one to hear, to get things off her chest and come back stronger

Also that interview was beautiful. I love the quote near the end about loving someone who ignites passion. She always speaks in poetry!

i'm so happy she reached a point where she's finally happy and free, there's nothing to worry about anymore, it's just about having fun. this decade is going to be the golden era of LDR music.

I'm not trying to be hasty, but I see this album being the first female album to receive a 10 from Pitchfork since Fiona's "Fetch the Bolt Cutters."
