I’m hoping good.. but I definitely read that as she’s not gonna tour.. she’s enjoying things right now so why ruin a good thing

I get ya! And doesn’t mean you hate music with the familial lyrics.. I Stan Lana whatever she wants to sing about.. but would be lying if I didn’t say I preferred songs that I relate to and get lost in.. that goes for any artist and any song!

I honestly think her "new" writing style is for her true fans, and with this I mean people who are interested in her as a whole. In her life, her stories, the things she has lived, the things she still has to tell us and all that. I know people who loves her music but can't stand her talking about nikki lane or whatever. I personally think it's cute too and shows how deeply she cares about the people that surrounds her. It shows she really has a good heart. But I do get that people who only likes her music, but don't really care that much about her as a person, are not into this writing style. I personally eat up everything she writes because I'm really interested in everything she has to tell. I loved Violet and I'm excited for her next book too, and I feel like I would love to sit with her just to hear her talk about all the things she has lived or whatever she would like to talk about but yeah that's me as a fan. People that don't care about her as a person probably don't even know the people she will talk about so I kinda get it.

Good! I had the fear of this merch being dropped there and I’d just have to do without.. wouldn’t dare order from there again following the UV merch saga I had to ask my bank to refund!

It’s totally understandable having the fear of familial lyrics that name drop like BB, because for a lot they aren’t relatable. BTD is or may not be relatable either, but I think that becomes fantasy land for some.
There’s nothing bad sonically or lyrically about the family songs, they’re just nicely sweet and sentimental.. but the raw emotion isn’t the same and it doesn’t make you *feel* as much. A&W is raw and incredible and I think it hits home to a lot of women and the experience they have had, same as Ocean Blvd.

Jared what's gotten into you? Ever since A&W you've been normal? and dare I say, borderline insightful. I'm so here for ur newfound positivity era !!

I am so tired of people only caring about the second part of the song. Lana is literally being so direct and honest with the world about her life and her thoughts and no one is talking about it? I mean not enough people are talking about it. The second part is great dgmw but like the first part is what sets it up to be ultra iconic and because it has that trap element people completely ignore/forget where they started to get to that point.

Also, it's Shimmy Shimmy ko ko bop. She ain't talking about no puffs whether cocoa or coco.

Here’s my possible theory about Lana’s current relationship with religion.

Lana believes that God and the universe are one in the same. There’s a higher power there for her and everyone else. She goes to church, but she is also an astrological girl. It’s all part of connecting to a higher being. In her writing, anything that can be interpreted as a diss (for argument’s sake), might be a nudge towards corruption within the church or their strict standards (I’m not trying to criticize or judge anyone’s religion, but the reality is not all churches are just).

Again, it’s just a theory that I’m not sure I believe, but I’ve thought about it before.

And to think about the countless days we spent worrying about everything. All for nothing

I actually have had a feeling that this was the plan from day 1 (but thought I’m probably being delulu). But I was getting very psychedelic vibes from the album which made perfect sense to me for visuals.. like the wall!

Then BOZs comments about it being needed to be appreciated as a full piece of work and calling it a journey, made me think it even more..

And then A&W dropped! The transition between 1st and 2nd half screams visual (tropico type film) to me, I feel like I can just imagine it! Anyway.. enough of my wishful thinking
