i may be wrong because i haven't heard the original song, but take me home (country roads) is mellow to begin with, i feel like it would be embarrassing and silly on her end to turn a country classic into some pop bop, it should be obvious by now that she has more of a mellow sound in her music now, and you're just going to keep ending up disappointed by expecting it or wanting it

I think the Grammys aren't as important as having your songs live on and stay in the cultural memory (for the next decades) , like many Beatles songs do. Lana has done that at least twice with "Summertime Sadness" and "Video Games," but I think it's about time for another one.

We listen to Lana, we see her, we get her 100% without any effort. It's almost instantaneous. 
 
Her critics look at her, they listen to her, they can't grasp her in the least, and they embarrass themselves attempting to define what they do see. Look at narcissistic, fascist Anne Powers, complaining that Lana didn't carry herself the way Anne Powers believes she should as a female artist in the 21st century, didn't have the right political opinions, didn't have the correct vision and correct attitudes, as if Lana was Anne Powers, and not a completely different individual in her own right. 
 
Lana seems to have an unusually high level of people, especially in the critic class, that don't get her, but everyone who does get her loves her passionately. 
 
And the fact that Lana has a long string of dedicated admirers, some of whom are musical and creative legends—David Lynch, Joan Baez, Bruce Springsteen, Father John Misty, Courtney Love, the Weeknd, John Waters, Stevie Nicks—and they see and hear her, as we do, has to rankle. 
 
Obviously this has been a huge year for Lana; she won the war even if she lost a few battles.

Why do they have to mention Snow Beach like billion times

It’s so boring when music journalists make the article about themselves. Their interpretation, their biases, ect. Just ask some good questions and let the queen speak! Photos are stunning though 

Like, she wrote that they spent all evening together, talking until it gets dark and… She got nothing else to include in the article? After what is described to be hours chatting together, Lana said nothing of interest that was worth including? Really? So much of the article was about Lana’s early career, people doubting her authenticity and the writer’s own doubt too, and things in Lana’s home.

Omg we get it, her yard sucks. What's with the emphasis of these details? I guess they're trying to contrast her glamorous persona?? Parts of this are so strange. 

the interview irked me, the interviewer spent ten thousand days and nights questioning lana and her “persona” and even then didn’t come to a conclusive answer.. but they were able to describe her patio furniture so that’s nice!

another pointless interview about her authenticity in retrospect and zero questions about music... 
 

why is every lana interview now always "she's a critically acclaimed songwriter... but she once wasn't!"

we find out that she’s going to do something and instead of being excited some of you are bothered  did any of you actually watch Priscilla? A 2023 Lana Del Rey song would’ve sounded so out of place in that movie and Lana wouldn’t bring back the 2012 lyrics.
