She could also "just" release unreleased era EPs or Mixtapes as digital droplets....no clue how annoying all the legality and credits would work though. Example: Ultraviolence Outtakes/Rarities. Or re-release AKA, there is potential even if she doesn't care but for the label to possibly be satisfied while she ignores LDR9

She's so productive, I think when she's not touring she can easily produce 1 or 2 albums (or books of poetry) a year where other artists need two or three years. Remember how many unreleased songs exist, and many are probably still unknown.

I don't think time between albums has any association with the quality between albums. I honestly think she needs to release albums at the pace she's going now, because she gets extremely indecisive the more time she stays with a record. The time between Honeymoon and Lust for Life was one of the longest breaks we've had, and for most people, it was a major downgrade, with superior demos changed around to become more marketable, and more fillers added for fan service. I think there also needs to be some more acceptance that this is the style of music that she feels like making right now.

I wish we knew which unreleased songs she hates and that she’ll never put on any record so they can be leaked without spoiling any future album (seriously, Living Legend and Cherry Blossom leaking a year before we knew they’d end up on BB is a bit of a shame. At least Thunder got a new production)

I actually don't think putting out another album this year will be much of a big deal for Lana since i can feel she's making music just like we're breathing oxygen everyday, she just loves doing it for the sake of enjoying her life right now so it's not like "hard work" for her. You know what they say: when you enjoy the "job", it's not a "job" anymore. At this point, maybe putting out an album isn't too nervous or stressful for her anymore. I believe she overcame that kind of hardship.

 

And that explains the insanely never-ending amount of unreleased music that this woman has, everytime we think we discover enough of her catalogue (mostly unreleased stuff), it just ends up with us getting another one and then another one, i don't think there are many artists - male or female who has this huge catalogue of discography (if u count the unreleased - she needs to create a whole universe just to store all that i suppose). But anyway, it's just my speculation, it's her life at the end of the day so if she choose to have a long hiatus then who are we to talk about it tho?

I’m not too preferential either way when it comes to a hiatus length, but I do hope LDR9 feels like stepping into a completely new body of work. 
 

Even though I (initially) missed the more “cinematic” production, NFR’s novelty did an amazing job at really immersing me in the essence of the record. 
 

Even if Lana settles into a more stripped, singer-songwriter soundscape, I hope there are some elements in LDR9 that really distinguish it from her past works.
 

With NFR, I feel like the heavy emphasis on the mellotron and almost whistling synths really gave the record a unique, defining sound, and I’m hoping for something similar with LDR9!

At this point, the real question is: which one of her numerous projects will we hear first? The cover album? The Nikki collabs? Covers and country songs together like she considered in her livestream? New stuff with the DNC song?
