Main factors that i am manifesting for LDR9 (Lanie, please grant our wishes if ur lurking the board somehow) 

 

• no covers - only original songs by Lanita herself
• no features
• >14 tracks 
•  >1 hour length
• more > 5-minute tracks or at least another 10 minute serve (just like Venice Bitch)
• 4 or more different album artworks / new color (that she never used before) for vinyl variants
• No more Neil Krug / Chuck Grant photoshoot & especially - NO CHARLIE GRANT (Neil Krug can be involved a little bit in promo photoshoot or tour visuals)
• Mike Dean, Rick Nowels are still somehow involved in production-wise
• What Lana has never done before (yes, i am not asking for another BTD, UV, Honeymoon or NFR)
• TOUR PLEASE
• >3 high-budget music videos & as many homemade / iphone/ camcorder videos as Lanita wants
• Deluxe edition (i know she doesnt want to do this 'deluxe stuff' but i still hope her mindset has changed now).

i agree 100000 percent. Her breathy vocals were cute on FIILY and WD but the fact that almost every new song features  breathy vocals needs to stop. I want Buddy/GKIT in the church vocals. 
 

She also needs to stop being afraid to do more than one vocal take. I get that her imperfect vocals were on purpose on BB but I hope she’s past that even though raw voice memo vocals with reverb slapped on doesn’t sound promising.

I think the issue is the exact opposite. I think lana is too much confident with one vocal take only. LFL as an example had a bunch of vocals takes so.. she just think its good in that way (probably related to the topic that she do improvises lyrically)

This may have been mentioned, but I have a hypothesis about LDR9
 

1.) I think half (maybe up to 75%) of this record will essentially be the musical equivalent to Violet—wordy, lo-fi, intense, and conversational. I’m expecting these tracks to be an extension of the Blue Banisters triple singles but with a more orchestral twist
 

2.) I think the other portion of songs (maybe 25%-50%) will be noticeably different in both lyricism and tone. I think it’s no coincidence that Jack divulged that there was a third pool of more energetic tracks that remain unheard. Not only do I think this would balance the record well, but I think her team is likely encouraging her to possibly put out more “commercial” tracks after the quiet release of Blue Banisters. Also, she seems super happy lately, so there’s that too!
 

Because of this, I could see us getting a record like LFL that has songs that appear to be on opposite ends of the spectrum both in production, tone, and lyricism (think Lust For Life vs Change).
 

Do I think we’re getting LFL 2.0? No, but I think we can expect a larger but cohesive variety of tracks that can appeal to a wider audience, and that might explain why we’re seeing Jack, Drew, and potentially Rick as possible participants in LDR9. We’ll see
