why do people still expect 2012 baby face, beauty queen bouffant lana to be strutting down the streets of LA she's 35 years old can't she just live like a normal person and exist in society like everyone else

I think it’s entirely possible that Candace is someone Lana met at AA, maybe even her sponsor. She seems to have come into Lana’s life around the same time her current group of friends did. I believe I remember reading something someone posted here about members of this current friend group also being in AA. If Patty is truly toxic, I have no doubt in my mind that this contributed to Lana’s alcoholism/possible drug use. She’s been more vocal of her hatred for Patty lately so I’m speculating maybe she has finally accepted that she is toxic and this is why she doesn’t even acknowledge her anymore and cut her out of her life. Maybe she sees Candace as her mother now bc she helped her get sober if she had relapsed within the last few years. Having a toxic mother is one of the most detrimental aspects of adult life and I don’t think society paints an accurate picture of how horrible and scary it can be. In my opinion, it should be considered a trauma and has the same sort of effects. Anyways all this makes sense to me but I’m just speculating.

2020 will be remembered in the fandom as the most eventful year of Lana's instagram escapades.

I think the the 2013-2014 leaks were still really good lyrically, and the Honeymoon/Lust for Life eras were pretty good too, but NFR just had such lackluster lyrics. Idk if she actually lost inspiration or if she was just trying to fit into the mainstream and appeal to critics or if her new lyrical direction is just what happens to inspire her now. Her voice is gorgeous, which helps, but I really do hope NFR isn't indicative of her new musical direction. I do love a few of the songs on the songs on the album, but I'm hoping the next album has more cinematic production and more dramatic lyricism (but either way I'll buy and listen lol).

Lana's silence on this is so telling.  Particularly since she seemed very concerned people don't see her as a racist.  Maybe it is more important to not BE a racist than not be SEEN as a racist.  Lana's post didn't start a "race war."  The war has been raging, Lana's been ignoring it, and now it's spilled over into her personal tea.  This would be a great time for Lana to educate herself.

The thing is that it isn’t about HER, it’s about how she could use her platform to spread awareness about this topic. Also, she has the time to make a billion posts about singers and stuff like she did the other day but she can’t say shit about this? Is Ben her messenger pigeon? It’s so annoying because it’s not about the fact that she is a celebrity and we want her to make a post, it’s about the fact that she has 16.5M followers and could really use her platform if she’s as woke as she claims to be. 
She could make a post one of these days though.

even if you’re worried about people twisting her words (which is an extremely minuscule thing to worry about considering what’s going on) she could simply post a link to the donations page or other resources. She has 20 million followers and is using that platform for nothing as of right now.
 
Very eye opening few weeks here taking everything into account. Maybe she’ll do the right thing today who knows

derailing from the obvious hot topic but the new unreleased leaks we've been getting are subpar compared to the OG leaks. i dont think lana's post-BTD unreleased are all that good except for BAR demo
