So heartbreaking to actually read the data… we cisgender people frankly need to make trans rights an active priority.

This breaks my heart. My heart goes out to all the trans lives loss and their friends and family. Its scary anymore to be yourself. Im trans in the closet cause I live in a small town with alot of conservatives that literally hate me for being myself. Im also a local drag queen, so I get alot of hate cause of that and I'm scared if I actually come out as trans on top of that it will get worse. Also quick thing drag is not equal to trans cause trans is who you are in the inside and drag is a expression of art. But back on topic, Its crazy how people are threatening me, my family, my friends and the people I work with for me being me. I also have local churches protesting my art. I try not to leave the house unless I have to anymore cause of people.

This is probably my favorite leak of 2023 tbh, and we’ve had some top tier leaks this year.

Can the lyrics be updated on the OP though they don’t seem right lol

It’s Rob’s grandmother’s name  There’s an interview where she mentioned the use of the name, saying it is a family name and just kind of popped into her head

So bizarre... like has anyone ever killed themselves at Ariana concerts? or Travis concerts? Swifties will come up with anything to defend her.

Loads of US media outlets claimed Taylor had her people get in contact and provide condolences and financial support for Ana's body transportation and services. The family have since confirmed that to not be true. In short, her team is literally lying to the press about contacting the family to make her look better, and the fans are running with it. So messed up.

300+ people believe that somehow musicians supporting the families of fans who have died at your concert will lead to people killing themselves at concerts so that they can be somehow close to the artists... we are beyond hope

love the shoot (it's a top five), but that interview has got to be the worst thing i've read in a while

like can we please for the love of god move on from calling her a fraud - even worse, moaning about not being able to call her a fraud

i get what they were going for with this, but it just comes across like a protracted, reticent insult, not this self-reflective commentary on the nature of celebrity journalism that i guess they wanted

We listen to Lana, we see her, we get her 100% without any effort. It's almost instantaneous.

Her critics look at her, they listen to her, they can't grasp her in the least, and they embarrass themselves attempting to define what they do see. Look at narcissistic, fascist Anne Powers, complaining that Lana didn't carry herself the way Anne Powers believes she should as a female artist in the 21st century, didn't have the right political opinions, didn't have the correct vision and correct attitudes, as if Lana was Anne Powers, and not a completely different individual in her own right.

Lana seems to have an unusually high level of people, especially in the critic class, that don't get her, but everyone who does get her loves her passionately.

And the fact that Lana has a long string of dedicated admirers, some of whom are musical and creative legends—David Lynch, Joan Baez, Bruce Springsteen, Father John Misty, Courtney Love, the Weeknd, John Waters, Stevie Nicks—and they see and hear her, as we do, has to rankle.

Obviously this has been a huge year for Lana; she won the war even if she lost a few battles.

No sorry, I see some of the indirects- I’ll stop but as stated- seeing 1000s fans collapsing and finishing said concert by all accounts= partly responsible- this isn’t some Stan war- it’s about artists not valuing human lives over the show and money

None of us hate Taylor- we don’t know the woman 😭.

anyway I just popped back in for an update- her team or some “insider” told page 6 the family was contacted but now the family are denying it- same source reportedly stated this to US weekly.

There also appears to be a slight media blackout as it doesn’t appear anywhere unless you Google with the deliberate wording- articles giving many with Taylor and Travis

Culpability or not, Taylor probably made enough money the night Ana died to send her home, pay for her funeral, AND pay for a massive team of top notch lawyers better than any family can hope to afford to fight the lawsuit that’ll probably still happen even though she didn’t do anything to incriminate herself.

“She’s unearthly suburban and unreasonably talented, and she can pretend to be a normal person,” the filmmaker and writer John Waterstells me. “I think of the ad campaign for Russ Meyer’s Lorna,” he says admiringly, referring to the 1964 sexploitation film. “[The tagline] could go for her: ‘Longing, love, lust, life, Lana. Too much for one man.’ ” Director David Lynch is also a fan. “She tells a story in her music,” Lynch says. “She gives a mood and a story and a way to think, and she paints a picture in your brain.”

John Waters AND David Lynch (and Joan Baez) like the rest of the interview aside from setting the scene (also chefs kiss) was bad but this is everything I’m so serious.
