Question for the Culture-
 
Now that A&W is out and about why is Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd- the song is hitting different? I feel more connected to it than ever before or maybe it just hit me like a tonna bricks? 
 
I cannot wait for Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd- the whole album dropping on March 24! 

it's interesting that lana posted that her new years resolution was to let go of "being a slut".. it's a central theme of both of the singles so i wonder if she posted that to tease the singles a little or it's just coincidental bc the singles align with her life  

also i think this is the most i’ve ever related to a lana song, and i fear it will be the most i’ve ever related to a lana album, as well.

the first half is very tori amos vibes (which i predicted ) and the second half is kinda nine inch nails kinda portishead, but honestly, its very lana. i can’t really compare it to anything else i’ve ever heard. its like a musical collage of so many different things and i just love it.

I just realized that Peppers will be a upbeat trap masterpiece just like Cherry, Lana really said eat your fruits and vegetables bitches😭

and to the people calling the second half trap when it's very clearly trip-hop

The two songs we have so far combined with the photos and magazine interviews have been so impactful for me I don’t think I can fully express it. I love and support her so much. I appreciate her writing and the poetic way she expresses herself. It is comforting to know someone has these thoughts about themselves. She really is on another level as an artist. The work is simply transcendental. 

Is it odd that A&W helped me to understand and appreciate the first single more? I didn’t have an instant love affair with Ocean Blvd, but I just get it now 

Second part was of course very catchy on first listen. But the first part is the most haunting and the most that has to « offer » over time. But my fave part is the junction between the two, very Nine Inch Nails. 

I literally haven’t been this connected to her music since Honeymoon, like it just has the X factor.
This is not saying I don’t love LFL, NFR, COTCC, and BB btw they’re great but this just has that classic LDR magic .

General consensus seems to be that it's one of her all time best

No the first half is the best but the sudden change up and transition to Jimmy coco puff is fun

same i almost wish the second half was an interlude in itself bc the first half is so 90s mazzy star vibes n ive been DYING to get that from lana

is it unpopular to say that i prefer the first half over the second?

it sounds excellent through my speakers though! So I’m sure they appreciate the excellence 

If they are alternate titles, we’ll know what songs they were for after listening to the album because they were probably titles that she actually sings in the song, BOZ said a lot of the titles are random and don’t make sense unless you listen to the song, which makes me think they are things she says one time in a verse or they just fit the “theme” of the song

idk if this makes sense but there was this specific excitement i felt just before ultraviolence and norman f**king rockwell! like they were so different and jaw dropping and raw and i feel that way leading up to this album too

Pearl sounds like old title of Kintsugi or Grandfather
