henry sounded all right no doubt. But i do hope it goes more interesting places than the minimal acoustic. Maybe a shift into trap like AW or a full-blown orchestra.

It was Dec 8 and I think it was a Wednesday. Singles can be released any day (although labels prefer a Friday release to get the whole streaming numbers concentrated in the first week) but albums are rarely released any other day than Fridays (unless nobody cares about the numbers and charting).

my point is more that I think she ‘lil release a few singles and maybe wait for that bigger song until April before the album.

 

Also I hear a lot of people saying this will be BB 2.0 but it’s just based on the photo and I guess the title. But Honeymoon and Lust for Life didn’t scream bangers to me and we go some amazing bops on those albums. Everything we heard and she has said points to more melodic songs too (Mirror/Fenway intro).

Personally, I think A&W got the attention it did because of its lyrics and its overall self-deprecating message; surely a lot of those in the press who still dislike Lana probably loved hearing her sing about herself and/or women that way, ('Look, she's finally admitting she's a whore and a sex addict'), especially after the more empowering songs on BB.

|Sonically, I don't think there's much to it, though I know a lot of members love it. Also, the A&W lyrics and theme clearly appealed to a lot of fans—younger fans, I'd guess—who either related to the lyrics, found them naughty, wanted to think of themselves that way, or some combination of those.

Yes I agree with that. 
I liked A&W, but I appreciated more the attention it put on her (making ‘Best of’ lists, Grammy nominations, etc).

 

Hoping I’m not wrong because I really don’t want another BB. For me, personally, it’s just my least favorite album. I barely ever listen to it. She also mentioned this album was less self-revealing, so while I understand the aesthetic gives off BB 2.0, I think the reaction is a lot of PTSD from people who didn’t like BB. 
 

I guess I understand with the Henry snippet. But it’s really hard to tell the entirety of a song with just 30s.
