Ocean had the perfect rollout in terms of dates of teasing/announcing/releasing so if the album is indeed coming in late May (or early June cause it's not coming out the 21st) she's kinda late already 

Norman and all of the other rollout messes had at least some singles out by now 

 

Unless we're getting a UV/HM style era where everything happens in the span of a couple of months but I doubt it.

 

If she announced TRPWS after submitting the album it kinda has to be coming cause I doubt they'd let her cancel all the physicals' production to alter the album (or worse, getting vinyl with a different tracklist than the final thing) but if she announced it just estimating production times I fear she's still working on it and nothing has been officialy submitted

I’m fine with this album being stripped back but if so the lyrics need to hit. I’m talking Diamonds and Rust, early Dylan, not “tell him that his cowgirl is gone go on and giddy up”

not that that’s particularly bad but a whole album of just aimless love songs with nothing to say will be a slog to listen through.

 

kind of like chemtrails, she was so insecure about it leading up and while i like the album it doesn’t really get at anything thematically like what are the chemtrails? You know?

 

I don't think there's any message or symbolism—it's just an evocative image—one that works for me---she's in the pool under the chemtrails over the country club.
