This performative outrage from fans is so insane lol. A complete waste of time. This isn’t stopping the war I can tell you that much 

People on Instagram really acting like Lana is capable of singlehandedly ending the conflict. I dream of the day when these people get it through their thick skulls that she is a STRANGER to them and it is incredibly weird and inappropriate to publicly scold her for her opinions on anything. Not to mention the performativiness of wasting all your time writing a letter to a random fucking pop singer instead of doing a single useful thing towards helping the people of Palestine. It disgusts me that anyone could look at the situation and conclude that the most urgent course of action is convincing their favorite artist to change her mind about it.

These people are not fans they are just looking for someone to direct their frustration at and hold accountable… like girl phone your fucking reps pop singer lana Del Rey ain’t gonna bring peace to the Middle East . They need to log tf off

to me this a boundary overstepped.
1. Lana is not a politician, and she’s American. Genuinely, what can “her influence” do?? Even if she “spreads awareness”, what is she doing? 
2. If she’s not informed, she shouldn’t speak up at all. It’s honestly pathetic that people would rather her speak up about a topic so serious just because people are basically forcing her / pressuring her to do so. Regardless of whether she knows anything about Palestine / Isreal, people want her to talk about it anyways.
3. It’s weird that you need validation from celebrities or that you can’t like them unless they’re on “your side”. 
4. This is actually going to get her cancelled and we can’t do QFTC part 2 but worse.
also in my opinion, this isn’t as black and white as people say it is. it’s honestly sad how much of a lack of empathy one side has for the other just because they’re too far into their own bias to look at a different view. This letter is awful!

Mess...  her own fans doing this shit. It's a trap. 
And it's going to be worse when she starts to open her mouth.

i kinda want a spring album from lana in terms of theme, it'd be so magical

It still has original songs tho, an unreleased album would be full of old songs

I wonder if we're getting this sooner than we think since there's no updates on the unreleased collection or even another standalone unreleased song 
 
I still think we're getting a new song this spring  
 
I wouldn't mind waiting a bit more for LDR10 if we get the outtakes album or the covers in between but you never know with Lana and a new single barely one year after the previous album would match her releasing schedule

how does 5/15 unreleased songs make blue banisters “composed practically only of unreleased songs”? unless there was more than 5 unreleased songs on that album? idk because when i listened to it i only previously knew cherry blossom & nectar of the gods, and i think that was the case for a lot of ppl unless you were deep into lana twitter/lanaboards.

the way she sings " she drives a little red car like me man she belongs" lives in my mind on a loop. So I'm seated for Alma! I like her collabs, even Hollywood Bowl lol

Try listening to the music video version, it's more powerful production wise

Looking back I think one of the main ways I discovered Lana was from one of those “Be Young. Be Dope. Be Proud” edits you’d find on tumblr circa 2013 like this one 

back in my last year of middle school (so like the first half of 2014) me and a couple other kids got switched to a different english class bc of our scores or some shit and we’d usually get partnered up.. so anyway were doing some group project and he starts randomly going 
“BE AGRESSIVE! B-E AGGRESSIVE! BE AGRESSIVE! B-E AGGRESSIVE!..(Etc.)” and I was convinced he was a lana del rey fan since this was when i was really getting into all her unreleased so i was like “thats a lana song!!!” and then he started saying no it wasn’t so we started like slightly bickering only for me to learn later on that was an actual cheer chant or some shit and not just another day of lanas genius running in my 13/14 year old mind and soundcloud playlists (i am still embarrassed now.. the moment lives rent free in my head )

I called out of work when Blue Banisters leaked.
The next day my managers were like you weren’t sick were you, I was like no - I had an album leak & I had to listen.
Their reaction was priceless & I’m infamous for it at work…

I like it too and have always been confused by the hate. On the one hand it is my second least favorite song on the album, but I have never thought it was bad at all. I just wish it were only Lana singing
