11 likesSo Lana wanted to include 'Side C / Other Side' on Ultraviolence and then Honeymoon but it got scrapped last moment both times like SYTH omg... I wonder if it's one of the songs that almost made the cut on Blue Banisters. I'm assuming it's a Taco Truck x VB / A&W situation where it's 2 songs in 1 but with 'Other Side' being a direct continuation of 'Side C' since both are about sides. Maybe we'll finally get 'Side C / Other Side' on TRPWS next to Roses Bloom For You. SCREAMING FOR ME BABYYY

11 likesI've never seen this other side vinyl thing so I have no idea if it is actually referencing the song or if it genuinely just means... the other side To me... This just seems like digital marketing to let the buyers know there's two different sides to the vinyl The song exists just like how Famous (another UV outtake) exists and no one has it... knowing about it and having it has no correlation together. Also not to mention a good chunk of the time, these songs come from many different sources - not just one. Most of newer unreleased songs are not registered so that's irrelevant nonetheless... We knew about Summertime (Janis Joplin cover) before anyone had it as well... doesn't mean it doesn't exist

9 likesI think folk tends to be more acoustic and storytelling. Older country vs newer country is a lot different though, older is more folky while the newer version is more pop and sometimes some rock elements. Folk was traditionally more passed down stories with roots in Europe (now all over) while country was originally southern and had more outlaw songwriting. Country music has evolved since then and other places like Mexico have their versions of country. Some folk artists for example would include artists like Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and Joni Mitchell. Some older country ones would be Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, while modern ones would be like Carrie Underwood, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Bryan. Dolly Parton could be a mix between older and newer. Some of more recent Lana albums have more folk such as COTCC. I’m assuming her definition of “country” leans more into folk/older country. Country roads and stand by your man are older country

7 likesRick's website had a section that was theoretically not publicly accessible, which he used as a server for file storage. Basically all the final cuts of songs he'd done work on, going back 5-ish years were uploaded there. There was a song player on the public-facing portion of his website which streamed songs from that server, so people just followed the URL from the files in the player and ended up on the "private" section of his website. There was no password protecting the server itself. He did eventually individually password protect some of the files there (all the Lana and Lykke Li tracks he'd uploaded), but the damage was already done, as people had been watching the site for months before he put the passwords on. He also only had "Black Beauty" posted for a few days before removing it, so he clearly knew people had access. Someone eventually posted a link to the server publicly and all 5 songs were leaked, in short order. There's also other random tidbits, like the fact that "I Don't Wanna Go" was under the heading "Black Leather Moonlight" in his files and the file itself was labeled "Tonight", which is where we learned about both of those alt titles for it. Tons of other artists' work was there too, completely free to download if you had access. No passwords on anything but Lana and Lykke Li files.

6 likesI think the delay of the album has little to do with the fact that other artists announced country albums after she announced Lasso. sure it was annoying but Lasso was set to release in September, after all those albums anyways. I really think the album got pushed out this far because her main focus hasnt been on music, but who can blame her, shes in love and living her life. It also seems that the album was just not done yet by her saying that she didnt want to turn it into something thats "half cooked". I think 2024 was a big year for lana and makes sense why she had that creative pause. I just think she just rethought the way she wanted the album to be so it delayed everything and thats fine tbh https://people.com/lana-del-rey-interview-country-album-lasso-update-8734260#:~:text=Lana Del Rey Has Songs,to Be 'Half-Cooked'

5 likesWe wouldn't be in this situation if Unknown hadn't blueballed us with one (1) single fact about Lana's COCC...
-
5 likesif you look on the back side of the paradise vinyl there is also a QR code that when scanned prompts you to enter your DOB and SS information. After inputting your personal info and consenting to the cookies, users will be met with a media play box that includes the file '01_pussy.wav' ... users whom navigate to the web page will be shocked to find that while the unedited original file was indeed leaked online. It was not made available to download. In true lanaboards blue ball fashion. This is incredible. How did we never catch this??

5 likesYes except Rick Nowels is 100% the producer

5 likesI've just noticed "Other Side" is even mentioned on vinyl Since Lana worked a lot with Rick during Ultraviolence era I guess he was an alt producer for every song from tracklist but we hadn't been told about it yet. And now we are and that means he "produced" The Other Side- Pretty When You Cry, Money Power Glory, Fucked My Way Up to The Top & Old Money. I really don't believe this song exists. We had so much info posts, mass leaks and everything connected with Ultraviolence leaks. We even have this early voice memos like Sweetheart, Devil etc. Then why wouldn't we have song that presumably made onto the album? And why this isn't registered? That doesn't make sense to me. My opinion tho.

wild at heart fits the vibe for the album so well!! And it’s also one of my top Lana songs, so that’s really interesting! It does give title track vibes! -
5 likesFolk is one of oldest form of music from the first settlers in America, as well as gospel. Before that, it was Native American music. Country developed in the early 20th century which blended folk with blues and gospel. Folk and gospel basically laid the foundations for country music, but it’s by no means the oldest. Actually it’s relatively new in the grand scheme of things. Whether or not Lana leans more into folk than country, I don’t mind. I’ll admit I’m not buzzing for this album but I know when it comes I’ll love it. After 13 years of being a Lana fan, I’ve never been disappointed by an album.

Wild At Heart almost being the title kinda makes sense considering she teased it with that one post during the NFR! era with this gold plated necklace: "I made this necklace last week at xiv karats and I’m so proud of it! coordinates of la on the front Wild at heart on the back ⭐️" As well as the song's subject matter and the timeline of Chemtrails' development Wild at Heart was the first title considered (this post was posted on July 30th). The first mention of White Hot Forever was one of those NFR! post release interviews and the first reference to Chemtrails was that one post from September 2019 of her teasing the lyrics. Could it be why Not All Who Wander Are Lost was mistakingly considered an NFR! outtake? (Cuz imo it sounds absolutely nothing NFRish). Anyways it's such an interesting fact and I hope we get more info about Chemtrails -

I love high fashion, she's doin SOOO good! She's gorgeous in the video even though I still prefer aquamarine and diet pepsi's videos, they're more cohesive Can't wait for this album but honestly 9 tracks feels so short, like en EP.. hopefully she'll take a little more time to work on something else, at least 11 tracks -

5 likesi don't really care about whether or not people are going to think she's late to the party... she's been making those country songs for years so we know she's not following a trend, not that it really matters as her music is always unique aren't you guys curious about her exploring this genre that she's always been interested in, knowing that those songs have been finished for months/years

The absolute scream. Other Side Gate already going into annals of Lanaboards, yup that's right! The way I never saw any vinyl with such layout of "other side", at most "SIDE A - THIS SIDE" or something like that. I'm sure it's a real song anyway. God I wish BlackoutZone would come back for some extra teatime. That was fun. -
