I don't think I've heard another song quite like Cruel World. It's jarring, emotional, euphoric, cathartic... It's so unique and powerful.

I only recently understood the beauty of « California ». And all thanks to a Lisa Simpson meme with a caption like « when you start « California » again because the part that hurts didn’t hurt you bad enough » or something like that. 
 
Made me listen to the song for the first time in a long time and dang…

Damn just listened to all of the NFR instrumentals and wow Lana & Jack & the other producers truly snapped. I definitely love NFR even more now !!!  The production is better & fuller then I expected !! VB ,CG &  California instrumental are HEAVEN   the bongos & finger picking guitar , the piano in VB , never noticed them before but I love them   THE SYNTH/ BASS RIGHT BEFORE THE OUTRO OF CG IS EVERYTHING  EARGASMN But also noticed some Details in the other songs & wow fucking yes !!
This album is truly a classic

Neil Krug’s synesthesia was off for the Chemtrails era bc that green spooky color does not suit the vibe of the album whatsoever. Feels more Gods & Monsters/Paradise vibes. He missed for the first time honestly.

Ladies, stay strong. We didn‘t survive a pandemic and QFTC for her to NOT release it on the 4th of July

I would say: "where's the album sis?" Imagine if she would say "Chemtrails is out now" 

the way I see it is if u have the confidence to go up to a celeb who doesn’t know u and ask for a selfie, u have the confidence to ask about an upcoming album.

i wouldn’t ask, I’d just say something like “can’t wait for next week!!!!” And if she says “what’s happening next week?” Well, there’s our answer. 

I would probably be too nervous to ask that if I met her. 
And then kick myself afterwards for not asking her anything.

(We need to stand up more for this beautiful album closer )

Looking for America is extremely underrated; lyrically, it’s flawless and the production is so soft and warm <3

Speaking of Ultraviolence, this isn't so much an unpopular opinion, as a perspective I've never seen shared before. The cover of The Other Woman is incredible for a few reasons, but one that stands out to me is that she flips the meaning of the song without changing any words, simply by how she sings it. In the original, the first part - where the life of the 'Other Woman' is made to seem glamorous in comparison with the wife, for the reason that she has the freedom that the latter does not, while having the gifts and excitement - are sung sadly, while the last part - where the Other Woman is seen as being an outcast and alone, are sung with a 'fuck you', triumphant sort of attitude. Lana swaps these around, as you would expect, as they're sung from the perspective of the OW, and not from the wife, and it starts triumphant and ends in tragedy. To me, it really shows her ability as an actor and performer of lyrics, which is often ignored.
For more evidence of that, watch any early live version of 'Blue Jeans', where she sings the line 'love you more, than those bitches before', not as though she's performing a song, but as though the feeling has just occurred to her.
