The more i.listen to dealer the more it seems just a little bit iconic to me  this screaming thing she's doin....alot of ppl should be scared. ALOT of ppl should be scared, and I'll name them. Bc there will be countless singers trying to hop on this wave now. It sounds like a song one of the greats would have made back in the day. 

I'm on the same page tbh! I just meant I've already been listening to a playlist of the song demos we have (Cherry Blossom, Living Legend, Thunder, Dealer tbh) and I'm excited to see how they change! I can't imagine they'll be the same, and we'll only find out when the album is released!
I have total faith in Lana that this all makes sense and is for a reason, I have no doubts
 
I guess I just meant it'll be interesting to hear the differences since we've heard on albums before that there are differences in streaming songs as well as when they're played on vinyls, whether that's a result of Lana constantly changing her mind or something else, I'm just ready to hear it as an entire body of work tbh
 
Having an entire album playthrough is my favourite thing of an era, I'm happy to hear whatever songs individually first tbh, but hearing them played one after the other in an order that Lana designed them to be heard in is always the best

the youtube version has less going on in the background of the sound and the streaming services have trumpets and more strings i think

Arcadia also got some "recent" changes (unless they made the MV different for some reason) so maybe the album insiders have is an early version of it and that's why they say

Someone also made a great point with Dealer. She even acknowledged the producer (Zach) when talking about that track so it would be weird to no even mention
 

Arcadia is already a classic  One of her best singles ever IMO. Lana's new magnum opus coming in 43 days 

I wonder if Lana is supposed to represent the Greek goddess Artemis on Blue Banisters album cover? Artemis is often depicted being accompanied by dogs, and in Wikipedia it says that the dogs were given to Artemis by Pan in the forests of Arcadia. Arcadia is also the place where Artemis was worshipped

The middle section (Black Bathing Suit -> If You Lie Down with Me -> Beautiful -> Violets for Roses) will be a ride. Erickson's work on Titanic Rising was monumental so I can't wait for his production on these songs. The interlude seems to introduce a new direction unless she's trolling us (which is entirely plausible lol). Now watch a simple title track like Beautiful turn out to be the magnum opus of the album completely out of nowhere. Zach co-writing If You Lie Down with Me probably means that this alleged UV outtake (I still think it's a completely new track though despite the Barrie credit; they did have a session a few months ago and this must be it if CB and NOTG haven't been touched) must have been completely reworked and I do trust him. 
 
Btw I'll never trust insiders again. Didn't boz say that the album was just a collection of "pretty ballads"? Ma'am, The Trio and Dealer wouldn't agree with you.

yes made a comment earlier this era in how she really symbolizes the american dream so its kinda sad that she's leaving that behind. 

i also think the imagery of the interiors of a house is quite important, like she's leading us upstairs to her bedroom, inviting the listener to understand her

Now that we've heard a bit more of the album, I really understand why she picked Blue Banisters to be the title track. The song sounds like when it's just gotten done raining and the sky is dark grey, but you start to see the sun coming back out. It feels very representative of her life right now and I think it's beautiful 

Arcadia is my least favorite song out of the three singles + Dealer + Thunder but to call it not particularly interesting production wise is… strange to say the least. The last time we were offered this richness in orchestration was back in Lust For Life.

Arcadia is her new Old Money for me. They are both super melodic, nostalgic and beautiful. Plus, Old Money has been my favourite Lana song, but Arcadia will replace it soon I fear.
