We don't really know which part of the article she meant as a mistranslation but I remember once @NikoGo said that it cannot be a coincidence that she talks about Southern Gothic twice in different interviews (Vogue France August 2024 and later Vogue Italy)

I think lasso, when she announced it, was a classic country album, with acoustic sound, then she said a few times about southern gothic elements and aesthetic on the album, then last October or September said about super stripped back songs, so I'm curious what this album actually is. 

 

Now looks like she came back to the classic acoustic sound and there's no southern gothic anymore, but who knows
