Why people hate Country Roads cover so much? Like yeah, it's not West Coast or The Blackest Day, it's ordinary and bit basic in production and I haven't listened to it in full like after its release because I don't listen to covers but it's not bad or horrible, like other people think, it's literally harmless. It also has some of her lowest vocal performances in the recent years. Obviously everyone has their own preferences but the whole hatred made me kinda think why

i don't hate it but i don't want a full album of it... like you said its ordinary and basic in production, nothing from that cover moves me.

I guess Sirens with a high budget means mainly acoustic guitar tracks with some other instruments here and there. Maybe some orchestral moments from Drew  

 

I've said this multiple times but as long as the melodies and lyrics are good/interesting I don't mind simple production. I love Sirens (and it has like 4 chords) and some of my favorite unreleased songs are her acoustic slower and even acapella tracks.

 

She also said the songs are melodic and American Songbook Style so I expect pretty melodies with more standard song structure (for better or worse)

The descriptions make absolutely no sense to me. A full May Jailer album with nothing upbeat, but releasing Henry first is like releasing Change from LFL. Truly makes 0 sense

She can do much, much better. We know that. Of all the covers, this is one of the weakest, because it's so rough and doesn't add anything new to her discography 

Personally, at first I was afraid that she was so indifferent to what she was releasing, but now I just dismissed it

Pantene said that Henry is long and Change is a really long song. Like 5 minutes? Maybe the indication is that there are shorter songs on the album, like LFL has shorter tracks in terms of length like Cherry and White Mustang. So what he probably meant is that it doesn't make sense for him that Lana releases a long song from an album with short songs as a single? Maybe?

Not gonna lie, A Star For Nick is probably in my top 10 favorite unreleased songs, so I agree as well. It's so haunting, so eerie.

well generally we like to keep the prerelease thread nice and clean so people can come online and easily find access to the information we have (or at this point don’t have) so when 5+ people make comments about being the thread being hot/other completely off topic posts it clogs the thread up unnecessarily. Mods have been extremely generous with letting it slide but “why is the thread hot” followed by 5 users mentioning the thread is hot is half a page of posts about literally nothing.
