people should think about the shit Charli has been through and i’m talking about EVERYTHING. the XCX World scandal, her fans non stop annoying her about Taxi, her label not believing her vision so she had to fund N1A and Pop2 herself and call it a mixtape, losing her friend SOPHIE, the break up with Huck after the whole HIFN process (where she was very transparant about her mental issues as well)…. she’s a human too. people have been asking her to release a pop album. she’s doing that now and doing a good job in my opinion, but if you don’t like it, give her a f*** break and state it as your opinion instead of being blatantly rude and then go cry if she bites back for once

I honestly can’t blame Charli at this point. Any real fan would know Charli will always adapt once she gets bored of her previous sound. As much as I love the PC music sound as any other fan, the fact we got an EP and two mixtapes, a scrapped album that leaked AND a full length LP with that sound. It’s understandable that Charli wanted to do something different. I’m not saying you have to like this new era, but there’s a difference between saying you’re not enjoying an era vs just being rude for no reason.

Okay but hear me out b/c I've been thinking about this for a while Ever since post-Sucker Charli has been goddamn GRINDING out a space for herself in the pop sphere, she's written bops for artists like Selena & Ryn Weaver, she's made album after mixtape after album after EP of QUALITY material, she made hyperpop a thing by hopping up with PC music, she's made an entire fucking album with fan input during quarantine when most artists were just twiddling their thumbs or partying (dua lipa looking at you). And for whatever reason her """"fans"""" and """"stans"""" are so hyper-critical of her work, like even some of you on here can admit that, remember the controversy of the 5itm remixes? Bugging her so much about Taxi it became a meme? Leaking a whole album & bugging her about it? ALL OF THIS while not even being a "commercially successful" artists like some of her popstar-sphere peers? Why can't she pop off every now and again against the disrespect she's been facing for ages after feeding us genuinely good & interesting music for literal years?

here's a link to a google document form that will be closed on March 15th to see what the LanaBoards fan base thinks are ultimately her best unreleased songs. The results will be collected and used for ~possibly~ an unreleased colored vinyl that I mentioned in the random convo thread, where they can be crowdfunded at a minimum of 100 copies, pressed and then sent out by the company that took the crowdfunds. IF this ends up not being possible or 100 people don't want to participate/don't want a cool ass unreleased vinyl, it would still be cool to know what we all think her BEST (and worst?) unreleased songs are, collectively. please choose up to only 10-15 thank you! I've already voted my favs UPDATE: the voting is now closed because the top songs outweigh the others so much that i don’t think any of them will beat the ones already there. one @the ocean gets back to me about designs and the mock-ups i sent him, i’ll create a new thread about the vinyl and we can all try to get it!
