Let's not forget how Lana has described WD: "despite all the freakiness you know exactly what it's about when it ends" or something along these lines. She will destroy us

To make up for earlier here's a tea: she doesn't say "don't be afraid of our love" in Tulsa Jesus Freak

NEW INFOS ABOUT COCC Tom March, executive director of 'Polydor', Lana Del Rey's record label for the United States, says that Lana Del Rey's new album is phenomenal and meets (and a lot of) fan demands. The executive said that there are many strategies yet to come in the promotion of the album Tom March, director of 'Polydor' said that 'Chemtrails Over The Country Club' is already an instant success and represents the BIGGEST release by Lana Del Rey in years. In the UK, the record had almost twice as much pre-sales as 'NFR!' Tom also said that Lana Del Rey is an example within the marketing strategies of record labels, because even though she has a 10-year career and going to the seventh album, her audience remains between 15-22 years old, which makes her be great in streams. Ok but why aren't they updating her socials pfps with new promo shots? I'm tired of seeing the Doin' Time single cover and that BTS picture taken by her hair stylist on the set of the greatest

I dislike Jack's minimalistic approach and obssesion with piano ballads and I don't get his overrated status in the industry. However, I truly think Jack's production magnum opus to me is 'Venice Bitch'. I feel like the decision of making it a 9-minute song pushed him out of his 'typical four-chords pop song sound' comfort zone and had to improvise riffs, and come up with loops and changes, to give the song a new dimension. It's not a song with complex changes, they're subtle and cohesive. But I also believe he should stop with this one-man show thingy. It makes his songs sound same-ish. I get it, it's his vibe, but what made Papa Rick Nowels songs to sound different from one another (compare 'Salvatore' to 'Cola') is the fact that Rick had a whole team of musicians who knew how to play multiple instruments other than just piano, mellotron and guitar.

there's already such a psycedelic quality to this album... maybe not sonically... but thematically and intellectually... yosemite is going to be a special song, it's going to reflect a calm, peaceful state of mind, lounging in the desert with somebody you love, despite the heat and the dry terrain, you let it be something to experience and something to find the beauty in, a kind of love and peacefulness that can only be measured by something a little less practical and a little more spiritual, but you can't just define it, but you can feel it and create something beautiful out of it...

What else is there to discuss, or bicker about, like Lana has been relatively uncontroversial the past couple days. Like there is not much else to talk about or speculate. Playing acronym games and manifesting singles, videos and release dates ain't that sustainable.

my problem with Jack is that sometimes he botches songs the way that they sound underwhelming like with the guitar solo on The greatest, lack of bass on Cinnamon, the entire underwhelming LMLYLAW or the same boring piano chords all over again. He tends to muffles his instrumentals, where it is trurly unnecessary, or just lack of instruments in general, however I’m holding onto hope that COCC won’t flop since it has a lot of guitars and Jack is definitely better with them than he is with piano

i'm hopeful about this album because it's inspired by the mid-west which is where i live, in a way, i feel like it's going to remind me of ldrakalg, which we all know is an album that i love and appreciate deeply, and i get a mid-west feel from queen of the gas station, oh say can you see, jump, etc. although i would also argue that ldrakalg has a broad and diverse sound and it could remind you of the ocean, a forest, the rural-south, and even a particular experience, such as driving alone at night, walking through the neighborhood, falling in love, or a psycedelic drug trip, and i wouldn't be surprised if cotcc has the same feel, lmlylaw is reminiscent of a snowy winter night, or a day at the beach, cotcc is reminiscent of a cool, summer morning, green grass, a peaceful, simple day-to-day life, but an underlying uncertainty, i intuitively feel like yosemite is going to end up being my favorite from this album because i feel like it's going to feel spiritual and it's going to be beyond a good, well-produced song, but it's also going to be something i can feel in my heart and my soul

Just yesterday I thought "Dance Till We Die" would be a filler. Today it was described as "outstanding."

Dance Till We Die being called the album standout after we all accepted it would be third rate filler

From the descriptions we have of some of the songs, it seems like the album’s gonna have some impressive vocals and I’m here for it! NFR had some of the most beautiful falsettos she’s ever done but it was less vocally demanding than UV or HM, and it’s exciting to think that Chemtrails will have more of her high vocals again! And I honestly believe it is thanks to Jack. We would’ve never had the kind of vocals she did in Cinnamon girl or the cute little belts and riffs she did in The greatest if she had kept working with Rick. I’ve noticed that pretty much every artist that works with Jack has beautiful harmonies and lead vocals in general in their songs. We’ve only heard two songs from Chemtrails but the high backing vocals in LMLYLAW and the title track are an absolute treat! I know a lot of people here hate Jack but at least he makes Lana work on her vocals and they create amazing harmonies together
