i love the solemnness. it really embodies that feeling of conversations had after a break up. people are complaining about the lack of instrumentation but i think it works well in this context.

the host (i think?) made a joke about the golden globes not needing to show taylor on screen like the NFL does because they have more to show, and she was not impressed. it wasn't really that bad of a joke, but i found it funny that they were trying to point out that they didn't need her to use her for publicity, when they were doing just that. he also supposedly made some bad jokes about the barbie movie that i haven't seen yet 

he says there's "more to go to" yet her name is one of the first things out of his mouth

yeah there's no way. taylor seems like a respectful enough person not to pull something like that. i didn't even know the golden globes was on tonight, is she there? 

little rant about the recent merch quality that no one asked for:

i got the blue crewneck from my show in june and have been wanting to wear it all winter but there's an issue. the one i got had super faded lettering and after one (gentle) wash, the text started to completely flake off  now it has just been sitting in my closet for six months. i paid $75 for a sweatshirt that i can't even put on without worrying about it getting ruined. i understand they have to make a ton of these to keep up with the demand at each show, and that means quality isn't gonna be the greatest, but i have never bought tour merch from any artist quite this bad before. just wanted to write this somewhere because everytime i look at it i get sad

i've been thinking about this a lot lately. 

i can perfectly envision her winning album of the year and walking up on stage while the "don't forget me" part of ocean blvd plays. chills 

as for the possibility of taylor taking home aoty, i can't say i wouldn't be disappointed. i really like midnights (and am one of the biggest taylor fans on here), but i don't find myself revisiting it nearly as much as i do ocean. i just know this grammy night is going to be one for the books.
