Lord Huron released a new song today--Nothing I Need--teased a short clip of it last week on IG saying it would be released today, followed up again Wednesday, again on Thursday (yesterday) and then again last night, and today the song dropped. Bang bang.    

Since last year, I don’t know why but artists started “edging” fans a lot with single releases. Like it used to be: “song out in two days”, now it’s “snippet one day, snippet two days later and pre-save the single which will be out in 10 days”

Same it’s so annoying and in this day and age it’s archaic.

She should’ve just pulled an A&W and done a surprise drop because Henry has now been teased for over a year and the hype isn’t the same as it was in 2024 when she first released the snippet  people are just desperate to hear the song atp

This is SO pretty. The red on white NEEDS to be a thing.

I have an actual obsession with the classic Lana font in red too. I think that's why Honeymoon's album cover grew on me so much. The red contrast is so good.

And it would make so much sense for the expected theme of this album to be tied back to Honeymoon!

Also these are favourites. Its all making sense now! I'm obsessed with the reds.

I’m so curious to see which direction this album goes. I have so many questions. Id imagine they’re the same project just reworked, but maybe lasso was supposed to have that dark southern gothic vibe originally. TRPWS is not giving southern gothic whatsoever imo at least not from the Henry pic but it could also just be Lana’s way of defining genres so.. 

Her looks the past year or two have been more dark UV southern gothic while the Henry come on and album cover are basically the opposite.

Henry & album cover are giving more romantic - vintage - glamour - light - type of a vibe. I’ve seen others mention this but it has the vibe of a housewife waiting for her husband to come back from war. The album cover reminds me of a random framed photo you’d find at an antique shop. I think it’s pretty obvious her marriage impacted this shift. Maybe since she’s been working on this album on the side for so long, some of the songs didn’t feel relevant anymore and she wanted to make it into something more present.

yall kinda boring no shade milking ur own work with creative ideas was what basically made the pop scene more fun and interesting. although i can see times changed and albums rollout are a lottt smaller than they used 2 b, some artists havent really been creative with their albums…ig the last interesting BIG pop album was fn? dk. and idk since the last couple years lana hasnt rlly changed her promo either, album announcement, long time await with little to no appearances, changing the whole album since its initial tease and dropping singles rlly close to the albums release
