I know it isn’t explicitly said, but based on her interviews, her past songs, and the way the instrumental builds up throughout the whole song, I think Chemtrails is a metaphor for the chaos all around us that we’re both aware of, but can’t reach out to fix. Just going off ‘Chemtrails”... It’s a conspiracy theory that has many different paths depending on who you ask. (Some say it’s weather control, some say it’s chemicals in the air to affect us/our mood, some say it’s total BS) I think it’s just the fact that the chaos is there no matter where we are (The country club, the market, school, the pool) and as aware of the chaos as we can be, we can’t fix it. It’s there and it threatens us no matter where we are or what we’re doing (our hair, laundry) but that’s just a theory....a Lana theory

All this ‘the album is being delayed! It has to be!’ Talk is sending me RIGHT back to the beginning of January when “omg the single and preorder is being delayed! She hasn’t mentioned it once and now she made the Instagram post that she’s disappearing! I can’t believe she’s delaying it how selfish and lazy!!1!”

To each their own but Chemtrails is clearly about so much to a lot of us, so it's a little funny seeing people repeatedly tell us how basic it is when that's clearly not the case for a lot of people and it's resonating strongly. The title or themes of the song are not as complicated or abstract as some of you are pretending, it's pretty clear that it represents that chaotic turmoil and uncertainty that hovers over everyday life. It's creative and clever, her best album title by a long shot in my opinion. The astrology references aren't cheesy or meaningless either. I couldn't care less about astrology but they add to the lack of acceptance she feels from just being who she is. She wants to be cute and playful but is quickly rejected (you won't play, you're no fun.) She then revisits the line and ends the song with it, suggesting to me that it doesn't matter if people won't play and choose to reject her, she'll keep being her regardless of what people say. This idea is reinforced throughout the song (I don't care what they think, drag racing my little red sports car. I'm not unhinged or unhappy, I'm just wild.) The instrumentals build and build throughout the song and even start to drown her a bit at the end, which is true to the overwhelming nature of life at times. Then we're left with the lingering drum solo that makes you feel a little bit lost and unsure of what's to come. For me, everything about the song is extremely well thought out and means so much. It's manages to be both peaceful and unsettling at the same time.

I don’t know why we focus on promo more rather than Lana’s well-being and her ability to stay motivated this era. We’ve seen her mental health dwindle down as she got into more controversies, the body shaming, all her stuff getting leaked, and so much more. If it’s her choice to not do promo, then so be it. In my opinion, I find it very unlikely and I’m sure Lana and her label have ideas in mind like a virtual concert or something. It’s sad that what happened to her during this era might stick with her for a long time. All she needs to do is take a break from social media and focus on what she does best, writing music and poetry.

I can’t believe two weeks away and she’s only teased one snippet, we have no album trailer, and we have no 30 second snippets of the album. I have a strong feeling we’re going to get something between today and Tuesday. either another preview of WD with the March 12th release date, or the album trailer (featuring some scenes of the White Dress video and probably snippets of COTCC, LMLYLAW, WD, and TJF)

At this point I'd rather have an album sampler/ an album trailer with snippets than a new single. A few short teases on how some tracks may sound, the speculation on how they will evolve beyond the snippet ... that would be much more exciting. The album trailers for UV & HM and the leaked preview-snippets for UV & NFR were such a treat

I remember when idiotic stans during the NFR era thought the black narcissist lyric was a reference to Azealia Banks and she made a comment like "this is why I don't participate in the culture" or something along those lines. I think with the crazy reaction to qftc and her other posts, she probably just wants to release music and go. Like Fiona Apple. I don't mind that approach tbh, but it's sad to see esp considering how much she used to interact with us.

The album is not being delayed and I’m gonna need all of ya’ll to keep that negativity to yourselves She would never delay an album two weeks before the release date. She warned us she was going silent and the only reason Feb 26th was so traumatic to everyone is because you clung onto unconfirmed rumors and one website. If the website hasn’t been discovered, Lana’s post last week teasing White Dress wouldn’t have struck such a nerve. breath, we have 13 (basically 12 at this point accounting for NZ release day, and even less than that accounting for the inevitable leak the week leading up to the 19th) days left and we’re just getting antsy. But no. No talk of it not coming out the 19th.
