I’m absolutely convinced we’re getting an album this year and I’m convinced it’s coming sooner than later. There is absolutely no other reason for Ben to do this, the fans weren’t even going crazy about when new music was coming

ben teasing it more than her makes me think it actually is coming soon-ish

I think this is the first time ever we’ve been told an album was both incoming, and coming soon, without an album title or even a single/single title. This is turning out to be such a unique era/rollout and I’m super excited to see how this all plays out!

Ben mentioning that the album is coming soon to Lana publicly is certainly fan-directed. I also feel like Lana following Rick Nowels is probably coincidental, but the old alleged screenshot confirming he’s working with Lana has me wondering if he’s worked on LDR9 or potentially a different project. I love how mysterious this era is!

Well, in my recent dream about LDR9, Hollywood was on the tracklist and it is a song produced by Rick.. my dream manifestations are coming true already x

i think she might keep the real special jack songs that they've made on the album because let's be honest when jack and lana do the good songs they're good good (venice bitch, mac, nfr, white dress)

So Ben went from "music in the works" to "music incoming" to "album coming soon" in just 2 weeks so at least we know now that we are not getting another NFR with random singles without an album in sight a year early. The fact that he specifically said album has to mean that it's done (so the vinyl are already being pressed as we speak or we are getting it early via digital only). I don't think CDs and cassettes take that much time so maybe we are getting everything but the vinyl first

as a gamer and music lover, "soon" is such a horrible vile word lol. it could literally mean anything from a month out to a year out. whoever created it needs to be deleted anyways hopefully we don't have to wait too long, super excited for this new project

Hate to be overkill with this, but I did in fact have another LDR9 dream last night It was a bit stranger than the other one. She posted a random picture on Instagram and in the caption, announced her new record would be coming later this year titled “Beverly _____ Hippie” (I can’t for the life of me remember the second word. It wasn’t Hills, but another descriptor word. Maybe starting with a C? The memory has escaped me) Then later on, she posted the lead single announcement which was the title track and it was set to release the following week. The single cover was a selfie, but it was edited to make her look really old sort of in the style of The Weeknd’s Dawn FM album. Everyone was really confused as to why it was edited that way, but then an ~insider~ revealed it was because the song was about how the media has perceived her as she’s grown older over the past decade under the Hollywood eye. That’s all. No more sweets before bedtime x

I mean Rick's catalog is insane you can't deny that he is a really talented producer with a really successful career

Imagine the album surprise drops digitally on a random Friday in June. No announcement, no song teases, no album artwork preview. I would love the experience of going into a Lana album completely blind and seeing the cover art, tracklist and listening all the way through with absolutely zero idea of what to expect

A new song on the way and insiders still seem clueless... if she manages to put out the new track without anyone spilling I think we are getting our first "blind" era (even though I expect at least the release date leaking like a week before unless Lana announces it early)

last month she started talking about the new album and now Ben has commented twice within a day that the album is incoming and coming soon, while there isn’t a rollout yet, the gears are definitely being shifted

I think Rick brings out a certain Romantic Lana that we all love, Romantic in the original sense of the Romantic poets, as well as the contemporary meaning. '13 Beaches,' 'The Blackest Day,' 'Cherry,' 'White Mustang,' the Honeymoon title track, 'Swan Song,' etc. There may be a sense that that is the old Lana persona, and her work with Jack presents a woman in far more control of her life and emotions. I think most of the songs on BB, the new tracks, that is, but including IYLDWM, showed us a Lana in control, and facing, and thus defeating, her demons. I certainly loved the Lana of VFR. I think IYLDWM showed us a hybrid Lana persona, Romantic and strong, in charge. Perfect. It's one of my all-time Lana favorites.

I’m super excited that it is publicly being teased/discussed. Delulu hype part of me really is hoping for a digital release with physical pre orders but I just KNOWWWW Interscope will want the sales from the physicals to count towards her 1st week sales. The billboard rule is so idiotic! My mindset is she is going to GET the sales/revenue regardless so just let her drop digital first. Bens most recent comment is a tad confusing lol. Like grammar is our friend. To me it does sound like maybe he is referring to the album being another “songwriter’s” album. But maybe he is just referring to Lana herself. It also makes me wonder if he could be throwing shade at some less involved songwriters. Like maybe former clients?🤔 I’m excited and will wait patiently but am not getting too hyped. Ben has “soon’d” us before and it didn’t necessarily turn out being as soon as one would expect lol. Either way am hyped to see how it all plays out. The uncertainty and mystery does make it fun!

She probably just forgot to follow back Rick on the HM account But either way, didn't he kinda confirm working on LDR9 in some fans DMs? It was something like "are you working on new music with Lana?" and he responded with some emojis (like sparks? I can't remember). It could be fake but I vaguely remember that they also posted a screen recording to make clear they were real messages but maybe I'm mixing things and it was already confirmed fake sorry It could also just be an old song (leaked or maybe unheard). I don't think there's a single Lana album that doesn't have at least 1 Rick track so I hope they don't break the streak now

We won, I miss Rick so much. I mean it’s nice to have one track of his at the very least across each record but I miss him having more involvement. I feel like her and Rick really worked so so great together and just had/have this amazing connection. Truly magical.

If by nuance you mean making her sing in that half-hassed/half-spoken tone and making all the instruments sound inaudible and/or tinny; giving her music that incredibly dreary and understated atmosphere, then you're 100% correct. Jack added a lot of nuance to Lana's sound.

It would be so funny if after the countless guesses we made DNC ended up being nothing we have said. Or even worse, we don't hear about it again. Or she has a track called DNC but she never sings anything related to those letters and never tells us what it means

When she was in Italy at that Gucci event didn't her old stylists do her hair & make up? If so she is back to her old stylists and now Rick could be back, so she is going back to one of her older producers....I slowly see a pattern I know Rick was still on her last albums (thank god) but they haven't worked together actively since like 2017/2018 ( or whenever Bartender was made, so I consider him an older producer, not in the sense of old bc of his age lol)
