13 likesi know this thread was bumped just as a kind of "" funny thing but if anybody is genuinely concerned, not every single one of diddy's parties was crazy/depraved/highly criminal - it's likely he'd probably host a number of 'normal' parties to keep up appearances and also to hook certain people in to eventually invite them to the more horrible 'parties'. so try not to worry too much about lana being at this one! <3

12 likestbh we all want another exceptional record - myself included - but LDR albums are like pizza in the sense that even the 'bad' ones are pretty good. like if im chopping up a salad for dinner but then you call me like "the good news is i got us some pizza, the bad news is its from Greasetown Junk Pizzas down the road" you best believe im still putting down that veg knife and gorging on some margherita with pleasure and gratitude

11 likesIM SICK AND TIERED OF WAITING. BUT I HAVE A IDEA! So i will start to producing songs from now own, i will get famous because of tiktok, and then hook up with lana and i will gaslight her into thinking that jack antonoff is ruining her music (also nikki lane) AND then i will start producing her psychedelic trip-hop magnus opus album which is released before lasso (by 2030!!)

If the label let her release albums with full ballads without any radio hits [it doesn't mean it's bad obviously] (COTCC, Banisters - even with YouTube rips, Ocean Blvd - "risky" in a way that it has untraditional songs like Fingertips) then why they'd be bothered about Henry The label shouldn't be worried about Lana anyways because her vinyl sales have always been huge hits. -

I don’t think I can cope with this thread going dormant it feels so weird and final having this album (almost) out. I hope that there are more official releases and unheard leaks that trickle out from now on, because it’s hard to think about music going forward without her, and without the speculation and anticipation around her live sets and collabs and everything. She just had something nobody else really did. I discovered her alongside pc music back in 2014 and even most of that crew just doesn’t excite me the same way anymore. This is making me emotional all over again almost worse than when she actually passed -

If you're gonna be a fake at least don't contradict yourself,, you know what I'm so annoyed at the clownery, you never heard anything, you don't know anything, stoppppppp -
8 likesIf Henry, Come On was released, it being either a stagnant song that's acoustic with no appeal, or a drum buildup in each chorus so that towards the end of the song it's an explosion. I feel like that would be pretty dope, especially in the lyrics we heard so far, she seems annoyed with her partner about the things in their relationship. So, towards the end could be a burst of sounds to signify her burst of her emotions, with heavy country drums and a bit of electric guitar, with the acoustic guitar being the main focus in the instrumental. So that would be fun! But it's the not the latter, then I won't be obsessed with the idea of the song. I like the snippet we heard so far, but if it's going to stay stagnant, I wouldn't play it repeatedly, as I do with most of Lana's songs. But time will tell

I don’t care what she writes about, some of her catchiest songs are about nothing, i just think she needs to work with some better producers and freshen up her sound a bit. It’s tired. -

7 likesgirl her label HATED ultraviolence (100% her most riskiest work) when she presented it to them and it went on to be successful and iconic. you guys always slander slow ballads whether it be guitar and piano yet it’s the root of all of lana’s songs. if you can’t hear the similarities between henry come on and any song on uv or an outtake of uv then idk… her label lets her do whatever she wants because it always end up working. even with chemtrails, despite all the hate it got, broke vinyl records. and even with ob, who would’ve thought that let the light in and margaret (MARGARET out of all songs and probably the least liked by people on lanaboards) would go on and continue to be viral on tik tok… fishtail didn’t get nearly the same amount of popularity

7 likesI'm delusional but anyways, Levi's brand posted a new photo of a red silhouette drawing of a woman riding a horse and wearing a cowboy hat with a caption "new chapter" and while everybody were commenting about Beyoncé (which is most likely about her) but my first thought was Lana and Lasso because it lowkey reminded me of that little red cowgirl logo from Coachella promo

7 likesI don’t think it should be a single by any means, but I could see Henry, Come On being a lovely song to have somewhere 2/3s of the album or something like that. Usually the first several songs are pretty important and stronger/more intense, and then somewhere along the way we get some more normal regular songs that many fans love. That’s what I envisioned for Henry, Come On upon hearing the snippet and still do. But also if it doesn’t make the album I wouldn’t be heartbroken, it doesn’t sound like anything that another good song can’t replace and we’d be happy with, BUT it should still leak or something.

6 likesI doubt her label would make any firm objections about track inclusion at this point in her career, which seems at a kind of zenith. Henry could well be a kind of Ode to Billie Joe that really comes to life (and we don't know if the snippet opens the song, is from the middle or the bridge or whatever). And even if it's a sleepy, go-nowhere sort of track, I doubt they'd ask her to remove or replace it. And I very much doubt she would. The two interludes of OB weren't at all 'commercial,' and yet there they are. Candy Necklace wasn't commercial, and yet not only was it included, a major video was produced for it.

6 likesGenuinely curious: what makes Henry atrocious if you've heard it? I mean other than the typical "it' sounds boring" or "" comments, what can you tell us? The snippet doesn't have me in a chokehold by any means but I'm still intrigued to hear more when I reconcile it's probably just a simple acoustic song.
