I am once again reminding you all that Ocean Blvd was almost a surprise release/announcement (the single actually was) cause she wasn't teasing the album at all leading up to the announcement. The last "official" news we had were a CN snippet back in August and she suddenly announced the announcement () less than a week before the preorder. There's so many signs pointing to the album actually coming this year (studio version snippets, her straight up saying it, confirming it to Elle some weeks ago...). The fact that she included Tough and she is releasing it as a single (allegedly) confirms even more than the album is done, cause according to that insider she was considering its inclusion in the record back in February... and guess what... it's in there so the tracklist and album are done and being pressed right now The only counter argument is that vague and confusing interview which was probably about the sound and genre of the record and it sounded more like "it's done and it is what it is, we'll see" than "I scrapped it and started from scratch"

She probably doesn’t know what to say about lasso because she announced her country album and then a week later worked with Quavo it’s possible the Quavo song LFL’d the album a bit so now she doesn’t know how to talk about it (and let’s be real she’s never been good at describing her albums)

Okay I’m just on the bus back and need to leave this somewhere, this is my first Lana Concert and I’m still flashed. I was so nervous and afraid because people were saying the idays venue is shit unorganized and sound isn’t good there. I was fine with being far in squished the back somewhere and just hardly seeing the screen. And yes it was unorganized as hell, but omg the sound was so good, my friend and I actually had a really good spot on a hump somewhere in the middle and where standing a bit higher. The stage was so big holy shhhh. i immediately cried when she came on. Loooo. Vocals slayed. Outfits slayed. Behive slayed. Considering the weird organization: during the grants there where people selling beer and water going around with a blinking light on their head and he stopped right in front of me which was really irritating and kinda disrespectful? But still, it was such a beautiful show, far better than I imagined, the vibe was amazing, she was amazing, I’m going to cry once I’m back in the hotel realizing the concert is just over.

Goddamn, I do not get anyone's disappointment over this record. It's one of her absolute best, imo. Sympathy is a knife, Talk talk, Everything is romantic, Rewind, Apple, Mean girls, 365 are absolute bliss. It's also her most mature record from content to production. Did people really only hear "club album!" in the promo cycle and not "conversational, introspective, minimalist pop, 3-4 sounds" etc? The boiler room set is fun, but it's just that....a DJ set. I would've been disappointed if the album was exactly what we heard there. Plus the actual songs are more successful than a lot of the Boiler Room mixes to me.
