Lana Del Rey has declined to be featured in upcoming documentary 'Ladies & Gentlemen...50 Years of SNL Music' following the director's request. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Oscar-winning filmmaker Questlove, the director of the upcoming Saturday Night Live [SNL] music documentary 'Ladies & Gentlemen...50 Years of SNL Music', stated that he reached out to Lana Del Rey in hopes to have her be featured in the documentary to discuss the negative critisim received for her performance on SNL in 2012. He said, "I wanted to reach out to anyone that’s ever caught bullets for a performance, and so instantly I reached out to both Lana Del Rey and to Ashlee Simpson. Both, understandably, not knowing what kind of storyteller I am, declined, and I get it. 'This is something I want to put behind me. I don’t want to be known as the person that messed up on SNL.' I think if I just pressed harder and gave them the 'my aim is true' standpoint, maybe I could have pushed a little further, but I understood." Lana Del Rey recently alluded to her infamous SNL performance through her Coachella billboard which stated "Has Anyone Else Died For You?" with an image of a cross alongside the text "Lana Del Rey SNL Jan 14 2012" printed on the lower right corner. The documentary is set to premiere on Monday, January 27th at 8/7c on NBC, and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock. The three-hour special broadcast event includes a look back at some of the show's 900+ musical guests and promises "untold stories behind the culture-defining, groundbreaking, and news-making musical performances, sketches, and cameos of the past 50 years."

The only artist in history to impact me as greatly as Lana has, maybe more so. Discovering Twin Peaks during my first year of university was life changing. His work has had a huge impact on my creativity, and his outlook on life is greatly inspiring. What a unique and incredible soul he had, and his art is the greatest to ever be captured on film. No one saw the world like he did and we are so lucky to have witnessed some of the wildness that his mind had to offer. He managed to delve into the darkest parts of the human soul in the most thrilling ways, while always making sure that the humour and the light stayed just as prominent and powerful as the evil that surrounds us. Rest in peace you magical man, thank you for everything you've given the world. <3

Sharing this The Right Person Will Stay concept I did recently! I wanted the cover to feel like an old photograph, with that nouveau riche vibe that was everywhere in old Louisiana. It fits, since I think she’ll be diving into lyrics about the state and the new life she’s building there and we know how much Lana loves everything vintage. For the back cover, I imagine the song titles having a poetic feel, connecting like pieces of a story—each one flowing into the next, like she’s telling it all through the record. Oh my god. What the fuck. I'm actually lost for words. I don't know what to say, seriously. You know, I didn't really came to the awards hoping for a win because all I was looking for was a lot of fun and great company - which we got, it was really awesome and chaotic. Francesco, you're so damn funny, your humor was truly the peak of the night, each post got funnier, I've never had much fun laughing and reading your posts. It was joyful to read ultrablvd's posts as well, your humor is also amazing. Please, you two must win an award next year!!! I love this place. I really wish I had joined earlier when I discovered this website in 2020. The time didn't feel right then though. Here, I truly feel myself. All weird and delusional, maybe it's that way because it's the Internet, most of us are here behind our screens with Lana as our profile photo icon, all of us either smiling, laughing, crying and vibing, sharing our love and admiration for a one certain person. That's the closest we could get to world peace. All of my life I had waited for a perfect place like this. And I'm so happy that I found it. This place changed my life and I think it made me a better person as well. Looking all those awards I've won, I really do not think I deserved to win them (maybe except Most Active because I spend embarrassing amount of time here posting and commenting) because I haven't been here as a member for a long time and I feel that other members were more deserving of that because they have defined this place and I admire them so much.
