25 likesBlake Lee has a LENGTHY interview and in one small part (30 minute mark) he speaks about his time working on Ultraviolence and his first time meeting Lana! Blake says he first met Lana and he was simply himself, no expectations. Byron helped him get the audition. He says the First show they played together was secret and under an alias name in NYC. He says working with Lana is "spontaneous, electric, thrilling" and he remembered looking up Video Games for the first time and his mother overheard and they both fell in love with the sound of the song and the video. and he knew he wanted to be part of her band. Blake says he is blown away with how fast she writes songs and it is unlike anyone else he has worked with. He says he has no idea how many songs she has written BUT Ultraviolence was originally a double album (40 songs were written for Ultraviolence that he remembers and said they were all worthy of being on the album. He said a few of the interludes that didn't make the album have been worked into some of the live shows they do) Blake says he respects her so much and calls her "the real deal" and admires her ethos of "not trying hard or pretending to be something, and just saying NO when you don't want to do something or if something does not feel right knowing to say no, and then eventually the right thing will come along " says it was Lana's idea to get Chriss Isaak to perform at the Hollywood Bowl, Spoke about Sean Lennon and how magical it was https://www.totallyradio.com/shows/the-keep-slack-album-club/episodes/the-keep-slack-album-club-blake-lee-no-sound-in-space his new album is a dreamy, cinematic, avant-garde album and quite mesmerizing.

Lana, but not Lana Del Rey. This is such a funny marketing tactic, to go thru the trouble of creating an account on here to promote your own music. -

8 likesTbh I hope she sticks with the “fun, at ease lyrics” and more “melodic, like American songbook” songs she talked about in June for NME. She’s got a second wind in popularity and just got married, so it seems like a natural progression to want to keep the songs happier and light this time around, and we really don’t need a third honest/revealing album in a row.

7 likesI honestly believe that TikTok changed Lana's career. She's always been popular, she's had several #1 albums, but I think that the way TikTok has pushed her music has made her a staple artist in a sense. I feel like she used to get categorized more with Marina, Lorde, and other female indie artists. Now, I often see her grouped in with Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, all the big pop stars. It's actually kind of fascinating to see how much power sped-up 15 second clips of songs can have

Tell me how the cosmic forces have come together that I just happen to be in New York when Charli decides to randomly perform in Times Square for free -
6 likesHonestly, would it kill her to release something... anything it's been 5 months since tough, and 8 months since the album announcement. a tiny little snippet woudnt hurt anyone

6 likesYou know how i really want this album to sound like? If she really goes country, i want a mix of Neil Young’s My My Hey Hey and Mazzy Star’s Fade Into You, but we all know its going to be full of take me home, country roads and for free

her confidence this era is so beautiful… i feel like in comparison to how i look back at the Charli era or even Crash tbh there wasn’t this self confidence and brattiness. Photos of the curly black mane compared to photos of the bob where she looks timid and not quite tapped into her icon status… Idk… I just love to see how she’s come into herself and recognised her power and legacy and future. Go charli I feel like this is giving Hair Theory but idk THERES JUST SOMETHING ABOUT HER ATTITUDE THIS ERA it’s made me reflect on past footage of her and made me realise the journey she’s been through -
6 likesIf this album ever does come it better be extremely polished from beginning to end A full photoshoot and album booklet with photos of Lana herself in different outfits (NOT random pics). Custom typography. Dolby Atmos mixes. Signed editions. At least a mini press tour. Magazines. A music video on release day.

5 likesI hate TikTok so much but I'm glad that it gave some popularity to her and some of her underrated songs and perhaps made the general public understand what an artistic genius she actually is and what a big impact she has on the music industry. The most annoying thing about this are those new fans who spread misinformation though.
