7 likesRolling Stone: The 250 Greatest Albums of the 21st Century So Far 15. Lana Del Rey, ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’ Norman Fucking Rockwell! introduced the world to a new Lana Del Rey. With her sixth album, Del Rey departed from the orchestral, dark-pop sounds and toxic love-idealizing lyrics of the records that made her a cult favorite. Instead, the star opted for introspective storytelling (“And if this is it/I had a ball”) and a nuanced look at the American dream, spinning Rockwell’s art perspective on its head. The album’s flowy, experimental sounds also introduced her synergistic partnership with Jack Antonoff, which continues to thrive today. Among its many stunning qualities, the album has Seventies tinges, a Sublime cover, and the iconic line “Goddamn, man-child/You fucked me so good that I almost said ’I love you.’” —T.M. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/best-albums-21st-century-1235177256/

2025 Los Angeles Wildfires
fishtails and 6 others liked a post in a topic by Embach
The people's stories I've read today about the wildfire and what it has caused shatters my heart It's truly awful, it reminds me of the Australian wildfires from 2020, thinking how many losses it caused. Global warming is a serious thing. So many people, also many children, are affected from this, the nature and animals also have suffered from this a lot. My thoughts are with them. I truly hope that Lipsters from Los Angeles are safe and sound. I read this article, it shows the different organizations where you can help and donate: https://www.kqed.org/news/12021150/where-to-donate-help-los-angeles-wildfire-eaton-fire-palisades-pasadena -

6 likesBeen in touch with family over there and lucky they’re all fine, I happened to be in LA during the 2019 wildfires and it was very surreal to see the sky change colour and watch flames just engulfing homes as coming from the UK it’s just unimaginable. From what I’ve seen these fires seem so much worse

She has been saying things like this, even before she was releasing anything -

5 likesTotally not important but I wonder if Lana is gonna say anything. I was actually pretty shocked she didn’t say anything on social media after the New Orleans attack since she and Jeremy live close

4 likesYeah, I agree. I think are good when they're done properly. You give a snippet from a track from you're upcoming album, then album trailer/teaser or album announcement, then a snippet of the lead single or any of the singles and go about your business and drop them singles for the album. May not be done exactly like that but I find that more enjoyable or digestible. Too many snippets and makes you feel you know the album, or you're dragging out the date for no reason. The lack of snippets causes the wait for the album to be slow and depressing. Just gotta find a balance

now that you mentioned, i think that lana probably got a PR team cause she’s only using socials to promote her work and nothing more -

Did a full listen of the album yesterday in this wooded area surrounded by electrical pylons, I felt close to god Perverts (the song) is really growing on me. The only song I don't care for is Pulldrone, it's just an unpleasant listen for me. Amber Waves is SOTY. -

3 likesJust using this post as a general example for when the album rollout (eventually) starts… Please do not do this. While the snippet this user is referring to is undoubtedly fake, there will inevitably () be a time when these posts aren’t trolls and real stuff may leak. Sharing where to find upcoming leaked material, asking where to find it, or sharing the material itself is all very against LB rules. Even if what you post about is fake, you’re still showing intent to share illegally-leaked material. Be cautious and think before you post. Thank you love you <3

This album is actually so incredible and atmospheric. Tbh I get that it isn’t some people’s thing but to me, it is such a signature Ethel record. Like almost every song on this record sounds like it stems from something unreleased or on PD. Genuinely convinced anyone shocked or truly turned off by this record hasn’t listened to anything besides her top 5 songs on Spotify lmao. My current top tracks are… 1. Perverts 2. Onanist 3. Vacillator 4. Amber Waves -
3 likesthis maybe has already been mentioned but i thought i would share with LB just in case someone finds it helpful <3 donating to a mutual aid fund is a great way to directly help affected communities, especially with an immediate crisis, or to GET help if you're in the LA area — mutual aid LA network (https://www.instagram.com/p/DEjhEgiRE9y/?igsh=bzMwcm1ldnVzMW45) connects people with a bunch of smaller organizations. you can donate directly to them to help keep their work going or go through this spreadsheet (http://tiny.cc/malan-fire) and find a shelter, community center, animal shelter, etc. open to donations (i.e., venmo, etc. but also if you're in the area, physical items)
