There's so much disconnect between her looks this year and what I expect the album to sound like. She's giving Italian glam + baddie + hot rich mom but the music description is giving metaphysical essay (nothing wrong with that as long as melodies don't suffer). Also I'm clueless anyway cause we haven't heard anything She's doesn't really do "eras" anymore and I guess her looks would reflect (if it's even related) the album writing/recording period only cause she probably moved on onto the next record at this point. She could be finishing a second album already and we wouldn't know a thing

There's nothing wrong with being a studio artist. The problem is money. Artists make money on the road. She's a great model and her acting is ok. Maybe she can do that for a living and make music on the side. She shouldn't be on stage doing festivals but that's where the money is and she has to eat and pay bills. After all these years and with such a brilliant debut, she should have had a brilliant career in music as Lana, Charli and Marina. It's painful seeing these footages from all these festivals.

This is just solidifying the possibility of a surprise drop for me. I won’t get my hopes up, but something suspicious is going on lol

That’s true. But there are non stop flights from LA to London that’s 10 hours. Realistically, maybe with the first photo he posted yesterday she wasn’t there yet… but today… he posted around 2PM London time, so she could be there now. Call me delusional, call me completely insane…. But before you do, ask yourself… Why wasn’t she in any photos/videos from the night of Val’s birthday? She said in the W interview that she doesn’t sleep anyways so it’s not like she went home cause she was tired It’s her fucking flannel okay

i am pro rob del rey solo album but i will say nearly every time he’s posted a photo of him in a studio, including his posts for bb, lana hasn’t been in the photos. so her not being in them doesn’t mean she isn’t somehow involved

even if it’s not for ldr9 im so happy that rob is following his passions and doing what he loves

Rob may be working on his solo piano record, but most of the photos he’s posted of himself in the studio over the last 8 months seem to have been in Conway and Henson studios, both of which Lana made NFR, COTCC, and BB in. Plus, Jack, Laura, and another unknown engineer can be seen in his posts, so I definitely think he’s still heavily involved in Lana’s record. As for Rob being in London while Lana was in Malibu———that could denote he’s working on his solo project, BUT if all of Lana’s vocal tracks and the basic chords are down (which they usually are, as we know her lyrics/melodies initiate the songs) then he could just be working with an engineer on some additional production (maybe some piano embellishments). Lana doesn’t necessarily need to be there for that, even if she is commanding the sound and offering direction for the sonics (which they could have discussed beforehand, she could have done over FaceTime, OR she could listen to at a later time and redirect if need be).

Okay...so these are our clues: - LDR9 must have been completed. Although the insiders don't know anything about it which is a first for a Lana record... - Erickson is mentioned by Lana as a "composer" who added orchestra to her voice memos, but not as a producer. He may be one of the producers of the album of course, but I think that the wording is interesting. - Antonoff confirmed that he worked with Lana this spring, so he's definitely involved. - Angry lyrics (and vocals?) + conversational, wordy songs + orchestra + no colours + automatic singing + Carl Jung reference. - Ben teasing the album A LOT. What to make of Rob's involvement though? Were those March and April recording sessions with Antonoff for his album? We know that Lana was in the studio with Antonoff in April, and she barely posted on IG in March. Antonoff wasn't active on IG in February as well. Rob posted that there are a lot of songs about San Francisco (Lana's I assume?), he mentioned that it's an "epic project" - Lana's or his? lol - and he was playing "beautiful ethereal music" (similar to his wording when he described the recording of Sweet Carolina last year), and he posted a pic of Antonoff with an electric guitar + Antonoff confirmed that he and Lana were messing around with 808s. This is so confusing, lol. My guess is that Rob did work on LDR9 with Antonoff and Lana in the studio back in March and April. In late April he posted that he's taking a break from the piano, so I suppose that the album must have been completed (or at least his involvement with it) by then. And he's recording his classical album in London now.

He said multiple times things like "epic project", "recording a beautiful album", "listening to newly minted music" but it's always him alone in the pictures and he doesn't even tag Lana and Ben only liked one of the "album related posts" by Rob. We know Lana's album is coming thanks to W Magazine and Ben teasing but I think Rob has been misleading us

marking down that I think the North Star for this next album is Black Bathing Suit I think that will be the vibe (but with more strings/piano/horns) — time signature and key changes, near-silent breaks, especially if they are orchestrating to her voice. BBS sounds to me like she wrote some of it with automatic singing and they produced it around that
