If this album is a bit of a reset on her persona / totally new direction after the last 3 records then I hope she works with someone new on the album artwork. She’s reinvented herself numerous times through her career: from Lizzie to cinematic sadcore Lana to west coast grunge rock and roller to Honeymoon’s lush old Hollywood jazz singer to 60’s hippie beginning to self reflect on her place in the world to deeply introspective poet who can’t get off her piano. I hope she puts effort into the visuals again even if (actually, especially if) TRPWS is an acoustic guitar, stripped down album.

i assume she went back to LA to prepare in case of evacuation. her studio city home is inbetween the palisades fire, eaton fire, and hurst fire. also the sunset fire but iirc it was extinguished. praying for LA

Neil has worked with her every era since Ultraviolence except for NFR. So there's a very high chance that he has shot promotional photos for the new era. I don't know how unpopular it is but I really want photos shot by Nadia Lee Cohen

I want her to switch it up completely. She’s working with a new producer (Luke) so I’d love if the cover was shot by Wyatt and the art work is by special offer and maybe just for some fun an album trailer by someone new

I decided to listen to BB today and she sings, “Said he'd come back every May Just to help me if I'd paint” Now that she’s found the “right person”, it makes me think that the album is really coming out in May.

You made it seem like Ethel was trying to be edgy or whatever for the sake of it and trivialized her creative vision by saying she was doing it out of spite for TikTok or whatever which is stupid

You’ll be alright, this isn’t a permanent shift in her music. While you’ll be waiting for another catchy TikTok friendly song, we will be enjoying drilling noise, because we’re such pretentious try hards

Geez some of y’all need to get a grip Hayden isn’t making music to cater to a specific audience. She had an idea for a body of work that’d be in a completely different genre, some of its parts less accessible or formally challenging, because she’s an artist. If it’s your first encounter with this kind of music, that’s alright. If you gave it a listen and it didn’t resonate, that’s fine too
