This and the fact that the crowd won’t be able to sing more than a few lines… an unknown song can be good idea at a venue but more than two, it kills the vibe a bit IMO. Henry could be a nice addition to the setlist and have a nice moment if the crowd songs along with her and uses their flashlight on their phone… if the damn song can be released at least two weeks before fvcking Stagecoach so people can learn the damn words to it

Both of those songs were unheard/unknown and you still couldn't get a single clear video of the audio because concert etiquette is GONE and nobody knows how to behave at a live show anymore. True but like...this might be an unpopular opinion but I'd really like to hear a clear Lana live performance without the screaming crowd I really loved the early LFL era performances solely because I could clearly hear Lana and fans didn't really know the lyrics to the songs back then...

It doesn’t make sense to debut it at Stagecoach; it would have been better at Coachella which was a wider audience and livestreamed on YT, etc. Still think SC was booked at a time when “Lasso” was still a posssibility and they had to pivot and prepare the “Very Special Country Set” they are now announcing.

"Lana Del Rey" and I are cousins. It's true. We were so close as kids - went to the Lake Placid diners together - back when a stack of flapjacks costed 5 cents... man, those were the days. I was actually the first one to hear "Yayo" - although in the original version, she was going to dedicate the track to her grandma and called it "Yaya" but I told her to scrap that and change the lyrics to something people would listen to. You can imagine my reaction when she STILL wrote a track called "Gramma" - thankfully that one wasn't as schmaltzy. I remember we were on the docks one day and she told me she was going to call herself "Lana Del Rey" and move to California - we had a big fight, oh it was awful. We didn't speak for 5 years. Then I met her backstage at a show once, and she pretended not to KNOW me. The Elizabeth I knew is long gone, for all I know, she's a pod person now.

Hmm, in terms of marketing, announcing the album pre-order on the day she performs at Stagecoach (it's a Friday, too!) makes a lot of sense. But I really cannot imagine her waiting *that* long to release "Henry" as well? The general public and the Lana fandom need a taste of the "country" direction of the new era. On the other hand, a minimalist acoustic guitar ballad doesn't sound like something remotely mainstream at all, so who knows what this woman is planning to do... I love Akerman. I'm so happy that there's another fan of her brilliant work on these boards.

There was no release date. It was a pre-teaser. They'll wait another 7-14 days and post a snippet with the caption: "henry, come on, april 25th". Or whatever day she's at stage coach. It's to generate hype (single and stage coach piggy-backing off each other). It's all super boring and uneventful. We get an MV if we're lucky but I doubt it.
