HOW IT STARTED

 

@BlueINK posted a status update saying "It's boring here. Somebody do something." I'm not linking the status update right now because we spammed that page enough with notifications (sorry about that :crying5:). Will do that later for historical purposes when this project comes together, though :thumb3: In the comments, we imagined what we could come up with if we tried to write a Lana song(s) ourselves. Due to the stressful nature of anticipating the new album, we thought this could be entertaining. Anyone is welcome to participate, offer feedback and have fun with it!

SUGGESTED IDEAS FOR PRODUCTION:

  • A born to die/paradise sound since that's her most recognizable, anything atmospheric and luscious ------ @Surf Noir
  • If we opt for a BB/COCC sound, we'd have a song that is heavily piano (and basically the same 4 chords throughout) and the lyricism is different than the rest of her catalogue, a wordy, more poetry-ish style ---- one of our producers @plastiscguy
  • Starting things off with an ambient wave that creeps up on you and then have some kind of backing vocals to blend and flow into the first verse --- @Nova Times
  • idea for sound: dreamy, dark indie electro-touched song with strings, violins:

           intro: angelic, with strings

           1st verse, pre-chorus: dreamy, spacey and really atmospheric

           1st chorus: the same but with strings and ends with beat slowly starting

            2nd verse, pre-chorus: electro beat entered, interesting production, still dreamy but more intense and kinda dark

           2nd chorus: kinda anthemic, more energy but still we crying, drums showing up, vocal layers

           bridge and last chorus: big climax, baroque strong orchestra, nervous strings, breathtaking

           outro: same as intro
