The way she trapped herself with that country music nonsense when she's at her peak and now we're probably looking at her longest gap between album releases... If something doesn't work out the way you want and you don't know where to head next, it's best to stop doing it at all and start over with a new idea.

Something that always confused me about the UV era is that she was doing 2 very different sounds at the same time... One was rock and the other was more acoustic based... I wish he never said this, now I’m fuming about the potential that Lana had to release the second album on the 10th anniversary. Ultra you will always be her Magnus opus

I am shocked, shook speechless , wow There is so much on my mind but we were ROBBED big time UV Double Album and LFL B-Side Imagine we would be living in this timeline First of all how did she manage to turn a supposed double album with around 40 tracks into a standard album with 11 tracks (Thank God we got the deluxe) And then I wonder at what point she wanted to turn it into a double album. We knew she reworked UV for the most part with Dan and maybe she didn't want to toss the other songs aside she did with Rick( Fine China, Say Yes To Heaven, Your Girl etc.), so maybe that's when she planned to do a double album, I don't know, at this point we need a 2 hour documentary about the making and process of the Ultraviolence album I guess both albums could be around 18 - 20 tracks so it would add up with the 40 songs including a few interludes?? And how can she ignore the 10 year anniversary like that like bitch it was supposed to be a double album at one point I think we all have a good idea which songs could be have been strong contenders but oh well how can I move on with my day after news like this Blake leak the tracklist drafts while you on it

Her honeymoon account reached 20 million followers, the same amount she had when she deactivated her Lana Del Rey account

The race for Album of the Year (AOTY) and Song of the Year (SOTY) has begun, the first lists have been published: https://www.albumoftheyear.org/list/summary/2024/ https://www.albumoftheyear.org/songs/best/2024/ Last year, A&W won, and Ocean Blvd came in an honorable third place, though the critics rating was rather mediocre. I give Tough some chances this year to land in the top 50 of the SOTY list. So what are your favorites this year?

This was her Golden Age. There was so much material and lore behind it all…the world was waiting for her next move and she doubled down on the very thing she is known for and does best…

fine china your girl cherry blossom nectar of the gods living legend if you lie down with me say yes to heaven pink champagne the other side i can fly driving in cars with boys prom song (if it was reworked) These are all the songs that I think have the biggest chance of being on a double album. We know that Fine China, Your Girl, and possibly The Other Side were all mastered. Cherry Blossom, Living Legend, I Can Fly, and Say Yes To Heaven are all definitely favorites of hers. Pink Champagne, Nectar Of The Gods, and If You Lie Down With Me are kind of outliers here. They were all released (well two of them were major reworks) so she obviously liked them enough to remember them so they might be favorites too update: i added prom song and driving in cars with boys because i saw someone point out that the date DICWB was made was only 4 months before UV came out so it was most likely already submitted then/getting ready to be so it would make sense for them to be on a part two

from when i used to run a fan page, blake answered my dms and liked my posts a couple times. has nobody here got a big enough instagram presence to message him a couple of audio clips from youtube and ask him if he knows what they are? maybe he’d be willing to give info on some of the alleged tour interludes and sound check songs, since he shared this info i could log back into my page… but i haven’t posted in 2 years

Chemtrails would have sounded so cool as a more 70s psychedelic folk inspired album, it’s a true shame. Imagine if it was sonically similar to George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass album, the religious imagery could have been truly elevated by music like this. Still, I can’t get over those vocals on Yosemite.

The earliest I expect would be summer next year, but I think autumn 2025 or spring 2026 is more realistic I gonna stay optimistic and say August 29th or September 5th 2025

I wonder if the ‘Cruel World Intro’ she used in 2014 to open her shows was an actual song (or interlude). Listening to that for the first time was a GAG.

Blake Lee has a LENGTHY interview and in one small part (30 minute mark) he speaks about his time working on Ultraviolence and his first time meeting Lana! Blake says he first met Lana and he was simply himself, no expectations. Byron helped him get the audition. He says the First show they played together was secret and under an alias name in NYC. He says working with Lana is "spontaneous, electric, thrilling" and he remembered looking up Video Games for the first time and his mother overheard and they both fell in love with the sound of the song and the video. and he knew he wanted to be part of her band. Blake says he is blown away with how fast she writes songs and it is unlike anyone else he has worked with. He says he has no idea how many songs she has written BUT Ultraviolence was originally a double album (40 songs were written for Ultraviolence that he remembers and said they were all worthy of being on the album. He said a few of the interludes that didn't make the album have been worked into some of the live shows they do) Blake says he respects her so much and calls her "the real deal" and admires her ethos of "not trying hard or pretending to be something, and just saying NO when you don't want to do something or if something does not feel right knowing to say no, and then eventually the right thing will come along " says it was Lana's idea to get Chriss Isaak to perform at the Hollywood Bowl, Spoke about Sean Lennon and how magical it was https://www.totallyradio.com/shows/the-keep-slack-album-club/episodes/the-keep-slack-album-club-blake-lee-no-sound-in-space his new album is a dreamy, cinematic, avant-garde album and quite mesmerizing.

That being said I listen to chemtrails somewhat frequently, in the right mood, the stripped back vibe works. Sometimes it feels it’s missing something.

Going off this with a little background about Dr. Oz for anyone curious about his history (and I’m sure there’s more) - https://youtu.be/Q0zb-NoiuHc?si=9GLSopv0oKwwlJt4 RFK jr. was on The Dr. Oz show a few months ago. They believe thimerosal used in some flu shots (Adult tetanus boosters and one type of meningococcal vaccine for adolescents are the only others that contain thimerosal) is linked to autism. Thimerosal has a type of mercury with a harmless amount. Mostly used as a preservative and prevents microbial growth https://www.cdc.gov/vaccine-safety/about/thimerosal.html#:~:text=Research does not show any link between thimerosal and autism. It’s been slowly removed from vaccines as a precaution as medicine advances. The CDC has stated there is no evidence linked to autism. Dr. Oz even says in this video it was “implicated” and “possible” as a link, but ultimately “discredited” yet still goes around saying it’s harmful. Dr. Oz has been criticized for years sharing recommendations that are unsubstantiated. He’s famously suggested weight loss supplements that have no evidence and even tweeted astrology is a “valuable tool” for medical information. I personally find astrology interesting, but using it as legitimate tool for medical information advice especially coming from a doctor is extremely concerning https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4269523/ there was a study done examining these health recommendations on medical talk shows which includes Dr. Oz. https://www.apha.org/news-and-media/news-releases/apha-news-releases/2024/rfk-jr-hhs-nomination TLDR: anyways - mr. brain worm with no medical background as secretary of health and human services working with pseudoscientific TV show host dr. in charge of Medicare + Medicaid both known to spread misinformation is comical but extremely concerning.

that’s an interesting way to put it, but it could be… don’t wanna start anything but lana has been with jack on and off for 2 years. she was with him from january to august 2022, got with evan, got engaged to evan, broke off the engagement, went back to jack, broke up, and then it was on and off until she saw jeremy again in may of this year. it’s so complicated but jack has technically been her longest relationship for a while

can someone tell Lana to sit on this however long she wants but can she just drop Lust for Life part 2 and Ultraviolence (the complete double album) and there will be no complaints..............
