26 likesI'm starting to think he's actually releasing his own album If not... LDR9 is not coming this year Does anybody recognize the producer or whoever that is?
-
20 likesNew York, Portofino, London, and Los Angeles…when Lana travels around during the making of a record, you know something’s really cooking 🍳 🤍
-
20 likesMaybe she's working with yet another producer for the album or they are just mastering some of the songs in London for some reason and Rob's there cause he didn’t have anything better to do and wanted to learn about the process or something Alex Turner and Miles Kane are UK based so maybe we are getting another TSLP outtake I have to do my research to see if I can find who's that man in the picture Edit: I've checked Dealer, Thunder and California's full credits and stalked every man that did something audio engineering related and couldn't find the man in the picture (him facing away from the camera doesn't help) And before you ask... yes I have a lot of free time today

17 likesWhy would Rob travel to London in order to record his debut album? It doesn't make any sense. Besides, I doubt he'd be interested in releasing a solo record anyway, lol. Could she be working with Miles Kane and Alex Turner again? I mean, Dealer went viral and it's the most successful BB track...And she said she's very angry. I'm here for some unhinged psychedelic energy mixed with gorgeous orchestras and distorted Violet-esque soundscapes by Erickson, jazzy Honeymoon-esque songs by Nowels, and 808s/electric guitars (don't forget that Rob posted a pic of Antonoff with an electric guitar in the studio!)/Venice biatch realness by Antonoff.

15 likesIt would be downright cruel if Rob had been misdirecting this whole time and his posts were about his solo debut, and he just really does not seem like that kind of person. He is most definitely in studio for LDR9.

15 likesI just woke up from a LDR9 dream (my first one since this thread started!!!), and here’s what I remember: 1.) She was trending on Twitter, and the album was receiving A LOT of attention. 2.) It was a surprise drop, and I saw someone online refer to it as an “epic” project (blaming Rob for this one lol) 3.) When I went to search for the album, the first thing I saw was an article titled “Lana Del Rey’s Essay,” and I remember being like, “Please tell me it’s not another QFTC” that’s all I can recall. It was very vague/confusing, but it’s so interesting how we’re all dreaming about this record

14 likesrob is making his poetic audiobook memoir, internet domains bent backwards over lake placid, with contributions from jack antonoff, emile haynie, and his daughter lana del rey, in which he answers questions from the culture and poses his own over the soft strumming of jack’s guitar and lana’s soft coos. on streaming services june 24th, listen to it like you listened to video games

i totally understand where some of you come from regarding her health issues and insecurities, and you're totally right about this being a confidence issue – when it comes to live performing, it really narrows down to embodying the song and engaging with your audience. Hopefully, as her summer dates go by, she will regain her live strengths. But please, bear in mind that the people attending her shows – and not just her fans – have spent a good amount of money to get into these festivals, and have given up other artists playing on other stages in order to see her perform. People can make mistakes, but if she keeps arriving late, not doing proper sound checks / not dealing correctly with her live setbacks, and getting her setlist cut short as a result, that, for me, is disrespectful. Im not saying at all that she's doing that on purpose or that she's just being lazy or ungrateful, but you have responsibilities as an artist, regardless of your background, your story, or even your fame. Fans have accused the festival's organization several times for "kicking her out" of the stage, but please, be aware that they are just making sure the next artist gets their well-deserved time to prepare for their own set. That's how festivals work, they run on tight schedules: there are other attendees, other fans and other shows. They had that same morning for rehearsals and an hour before her set to make sure everything was fine and ready to go. Next in line in Barcelona was Angèle, which had constant fully choreographed songs and personalized lighting schemes: and that came from Angèle's team and it was their responsibility to deliver, not the festival's wishes. And yes, you're right, she doesn't owe us anything: but her audience doesn't owe her anything either, and this can really harm her career in the long run. -

12 likesMaybe she is releasing another “bridge album”, the way LFL was a bit of a mix of everything she had done with the first three albums and a bit of what’s to come. Maybe LDR9 could be a more cohesive LFL, with a mix of everything the last three singer -songwriter albums have been and a pinch of new? Because right now, the info we got feel a bit contradictory, about the sound of it all.

Halsey has contributed some of the worst alt pop in music history... I don't want her name spoken in a conversation about song of the 2010s haver miss ferreira Sky is a GOOD artist, like the actual work she has put out has stood against time, that's why we are all sitting fat in this thread every day. We just need the Album. -

Friday June 24th really does seem like a beautiful day for a surprise lead single release I must say -
11 likesI can see the future Rolling Stone articles now… “Rob Grant, hawaiian shirt hyperpop extraordinairé, is father to none other than Lana Del Rey. If you ever had a single doubt musical talent was genetic, Rob’s sophomore album has finally arrived with critical acclaim after its predecessor - Die to Live - outsold his own daughter’s breakthrough record in 2012. Rob accidentally revealed the title of his newest album at WaikikiFest 2023 after an onstage Piña Colada mishap <CLICK FOR PHOTOS> during his set. In turn, the long awaited album Ultrapeace has delivered exactly what its title promises: sultry, sensual, ukelele-driven piano ballads perfect for a warm evening on a hammock.”

11 likesI’m not gonna lie, I actually do think there might be some truth to this. We know that Lana likes to have the next record started before finishing the one she’s working on so maybe this is the studio sessions where she’s figuring out the next album. (I also think this might be the case with Jack’s involvement a couple months ago, too)

11 likesWait... Tim Larcombe is British too. I'm ready for the slut drums to make a comeback

11 likesexactly what I thought. let’s be real, Lana wouldn’t go to London just tu record some songs, I mean, she can do it on her voice memos app and send them to a producer like she’s doing for LDR9. Sweet Carolina: The Album coming soon.

10 likesi know after "Blue banisters" everyone seems tired of leaked unreleased songs being included in the studio albums but honestly - "Fine China" & "Yes to heaven" are the only leaked tracks that deserve to be officially released i say what i have to say. It breaks my heart to see them being outtakes

-
10 likesYou're all wrong, Rob is now an internationally demanded piano player. LDR9 is only a side project, he's also preparing future albums for big British artists like Adele, Elton John and Dua Lipa.

9 likesI know her old makeup artist Pammy is based in London but she’s at some kind of set today and my delusional ass thinks it’s for LDR9 and even tho she was at Val’s party during the day she wasn’t in the vids of all her friends having dinner at night because maybe she was catching a flight to the UK

8 likesI don't think we are getting any leaked tracks on LDR9 cause I think the unreleased tracks on BB were a bit of a "filler" but not in the usual sense of the word. She wanted to address some things (and she wanted do it quickly so she announced RCS) but she didn't have enough songs for an album so she added some old tracks that she loved and kinda made sense to explain "where she was then". Then she wrote some more songs (10-11 would be enough for a LP) but didn't want to abandon the idea of the unreleased tracks so that's why she swapped them around and ended up releasing them anyway. I can see some old outtake making the cut tho but probably something that we haven't heard like LYTAN (or the elusive Crazy For You ). It's a tradition at this point
-
8 likesMy guess is that they're doing the final steps of some songs (maybe mastering and mixing stuff) and Rob wanted to see and spend some time in the UK. Why in London? That's the weird thing. Maybe she worked with some British producer or they are just remastering some old outtake and that's why they don't need to be together in the studio
