Ngl I've always wanted to see Lana in a band. the Shadowpuppet sessions increased this. if we can't have a The Rich Whores reunion Lana and Quavo's new band is very intriguing yo me...

It's toughto determine whose song this is. By what Quavo tweeted it seems like Lana's team reached out and told him the release date. It could also be that he received that info from his team tho. The fact that Lana brought him as a guest at Fenway could be a hint that it's Lana's song but it's still a supposition. Moreover, the song doesn't sound country at all so it might be for Quavo's album (excluding that Lana didn't scrap the lasso concept or that she might be releasing it as a single not linked to the album). The only thing with slight country vibes is the music video which is set in a ranch lol. We don't even know if Quavo has the intention to release an album tho.

This could be a random stand-alone single...or it could be the lead of a short EP (Lana and Quavo as a "band"? Not to mention that they've also recorded Fly Away which has already been registered)...or the Lasso lead...or a stand-alone single aka Doin' Time that ends up on the album...or a Quavo single, lmao. 

 

Anyway, yes, an early/mid July release makes a lot of sense!

 

The twitter insider told us that it's nearly impossible that Lasso be released in September, given that she hadn't finished the album in February. The ATRL insider said that Lana and Quavo recorded Tough in February, and it could be a late (?) addition to the album, and also pretty much implied that Lasso wasn't finished anyway, so...And now there's a rumour that the album will be released next spring, so she's probably still working on it? Would she release the lead single so many months before the album release? This is so confusing, lol.

it's lana's track. 
 

She sings the opening chorus alone, then he joins, has his bit, then they sing together, then the bridge is mostly hers, then they sing together. She's all over the song and he's more a feature.

 

the asthetic and country / trap vibe wouldnt fit his album aesthetic at all

 

this is a lasso cut. He probably gave it to her and she's probably adding it like she added doin' time.

 

Thats why the delay... that's why she doesnt know the lasso direction... 

 

also, would they be making a video for a one-off? No. It's on someone's album for sure. And since she premiered it at her concert and she's the one signing the most - it's hers

well, it could be that "Tough" is the first single from "Lasso" and they were just waiting to have an album release date to release the single + album pre-order.
