Hi guys I will be reading a page from my new poetry book Violet out today I hope you like it thank you for having me

Waiting for someone to say how ironic is it that a radio station called BBC was the COCC-block...

Lana really should have kept Violet away from her music because not only does it diminish her credibility as a 'real' poet from being another singer spewing out a poetry book like everyone else (Florence Welch, Halsey etc), there's also lots of confusion between Violet and COCC in the professional world which is messy af Violet should have been released under her birth name Elizabeth Grant and sold starting at the bottom of the barrel like every other poet without a music fanbase Not sure why this whole Violet situation is bugging me, perhaps because it has gotten in the way of COCC but it's tiring wondering if sources are talking about one album or the other ANYways

Something to consider is that the audience listening is expecting to hear music, not spoken word poetry. Unless somebody is a Lana stan, and a really dedicated one at that, I highly doubt anyone would willingly listen to 45 minutes of whispery poetry. that being said, I think it’s likely she’ll perform maybe a new song or two AND some poems speak about both the process for both works

Guys all the other scheduled performances for the live lounge all say 45 minutes, and i checked the recording of Sam Smith's recent performance on the live lounge and after like 10 minutes he was finished and they just played radio music for the rest of the time.

if it turns out to be a violet performance i'll 5150 myself NO PLEASE

also can we please not manifest a violet performance, why would BBC let Lana perform poems on a programme dedicated to live song performances :rip: i feel somethings coming i feel it

omg i feel kinda bad but i lowkey started hating Violet lately when it got in the albums way

i’m literally gonna slam my head against a brick wall if she just reads poems from her book... this is an AMAZING opportunity/chance for her to premiere and promote new music from COCC. if she fucks this up by just reading poems, imma be so mad. i mean why the fuck would a huge radio station allow that, ya know? make it make sense! it HAS TO BE NEW MUSIC!!
