What's up with the waiting 'till the album, watching the music video with sound off stuff? Never hearing the singles before the album is out? Literally I've only seen this kind of behaviour with Lana fans. It's strange. I much prefer hearing songs one at a time, digesting them on their own and forming connections and memories with them instead of having one giant album to listen to without giving some songs their time to shine. Also if an artist, especially someone like Lana, puts out something before the album then she intends the audience to hear that ahead of the album and I trust her vision. I guess it's okay if you wanna wait to listen to a promo single with the album if it's released like a week before, but making yourself wait 3 more weeks to hear a proper single with a music video? And spoil yourself in the process anyways with everyone hyping it up or being disappointed, so you're already biased before hearing it? Also watching a video WITH THE SOUND OFF? That sounds like insanity, I'm sorry. This is not directed at anyone specifically, I've seen a lot of people doing this and it's specifically a LanaBoards behaviour that is deemed acceptable. So I wanted to share my two cents.

FUCk my hype really just hit imagining and working out my plans for what my first album listen will be like. I think I will go off Lanaboards on the 18th as soon as it comes out in NZ, and calm my nerves by listening to all her albums in release order ending with hope-bihi. After that I'll go to sleep, butterflies in my stomach, knowing I will finally have cocc in my ears the next day. I'll wake up and get through my online lessons for the day and get in the mood and headspace for MY FIRST ALBUM LISTEN, during which I am absolutely going to cry from experiencing something so cathartic and beautiful. Then, I'll watch the masterpieces that are the cocc and White Dress mv for the first time with sound on. Next, I will perform my second album listen and probably freak out even more. While enjoying my THIRD listen I'll finally go back on Lanaboards (if it hasn't crashed) and read back the millions of new pages and join the COCC post-release thread and the new pre-pre-release thread. I am EXCITED yup yup

Or perhaps NOT.... SECURITY! Mr. Future Jazz there is a difference between a proper song release and a snippet on her Instagram that only her followers care to click. If you overplay a LQ snippet and ruin the experience, that's on you. It's not her problem.

theory ive been cookin up in the crockpot: wasnt there an interview where she said "my siblings are on the record" and we thought she meant like she name drops them in the song? Yeah well i think she meant the art work. I think that the original concept was the Neil cover as the front, and chuck and charlie on the back w the tracklist. I also think the delay came from her going back and forth with the group shot that we ended up with and then the alternate one. Personally i think the standard cover art would have made for a PERFECT alternate cover art. I know yall threw a fit over the NFR one, but her alt covers aren't supposed to top or come close to the standard! they are just a fun alternate take that still fits the aesthetic (UV red nails ripped jeans, clearly nothing special compared to the standard, but its still a fun little thing for the fans). The only one that was neck and neck with the standard cover art was Honeymoon. I really think she dropped the ball with the shot she went with for the standard. and not just because its "ugly".... there was just something SO poetically satisfying about Chemtrails and Norman being sibling albums and sort of antithesis of each other. NFR hand outstretched, accompanied by someone, eyes looking directly at the audience, on the ocean, lots going on somewhat chaotic....then chemtrails, arms behind back (the general public had recently bit her so shes apprehensive now), eyes looking down and away, all by herself, in mountain terrain (opposite of the ocean), and very tranquil and minimalist, very peaceful .....ugh SO perfect I still cant believe it didn't happen. I am glad that the alternate cover art is getting WAY more shine that her UO alternates in the past. Usually only superfans knew about them or used them as reference, however i feel like the GP has been very exposed to the alternate, Jimmy Fallon posting it, her managers posting it, on Last.fm the alt cover is her artist pic, so its not like its some obsolete version only us super fans know of !

I get it. Some people just want to prolong the excitment. We all have our ways of listening to music. I trust Lana's vision. And I'm def gonna watch the video/listen to the single. But I get it. Nothing wrong with wanting to wait. That's my three cents on this matter.

About the White Dress release, I really do think it is coming on Friday and I honestly think the reason why Lana isn't making any announcements is because she knows that one website listed it as being released on the 26th And she knows that we know so she doesn't see a point in announcing it until its out

@Eclipse are we allowed to ask you how you’d personally rank Chemtrails within Lana’s discography? And your favorite track(s) on Chem versus perhaps your favorite tracks from her other albums? Also, if you hate this question it was definitely someone else who asked it not me
