17 likesThis isn’t really specific to the album art, but I’d love if BRTHR (the COCC video director duo) worked with Lana again. The video was gorgeous & trippy, stitched together the many multitudes of Lana’s artistry, and (in my opinion) made for a really stimulating music video experience. The song was already beautiful, and I think the video really elevated the track in a meaningful way which isn’t super common in the industry lately

14 likesAlso can i wish for lana to be in front of a Burning car? Like she is in almost every cover in front of a car, that could mean that old lana it’s deader than ever lol also a wink to BTD movie

13 likes‘In the worlds first moving album cover, Lana trashes a car dealership and sets it alight. What’s even more shocking is that it’s not digitally edited at all, and she actually did this and is now serving 5 years in prison for it. In exclusive versions of the album, she then proceeds to shoot down boats and planes, again recorded in real life.’

12 likessorry for how ugly this is and the picture quality I just threw this together in a few mins on my phone but here's my completely unrealistic vision board for LDR9:: the cinematic storytelling and drama of Honeymoon, the juxtaposition of nature/the rural countryside/the "simple life" and the opulence of country clubs/wealth and fame etc from COTCC (and a little on BB), the sometimes chaotic but v expressive production + lyrical honesty of BB I want an album shoot and/or music video at the Samuel-Novarro house In my head the house represents Hollywood. It's beautiful and towering, made by a famous architect, secluded in the hills, but it doesn't end up being what she thought. It seems magnificent and protective at first, but but the longer she stays there the more it feels imposing. Rather than luxuriating in her mansion, she starts to feel trapped and sheltered by it's construction. I love all the foliage here too and I think it would be cool in an album trailer or music video if the plants were "alive"; like they're moving and writhing without any wind, the vines creep around a corner to follow her, the flowers turn to face wherever she is etc to add to the sense of paranoia and invasion of privacy from fans/media and always being watched by paparazzi. I also love the copper facade and it might be cool if in the beginning of the video it looked like regular penny colored copper, but as the video progresses it gets more of that green patina to represent the passing of time or maybe even a lil bit of corruption (altho idk, I think it's just oxidizing right?? I have no idea if the copper is actually being corrupted or damaged lol but u get my point). Even without all that I just love the way it looks and I think it'd be a great setting for a photoshoot, even just for a magazine the type of shots I'd want (+ what could possibly be an interlude a la Burnt Norton)

12 likesJokes aside, i actually want David LaChapelle to do Lana justice this time. Izak Rappaport is a fine choice as well since i am in love with the Chemtrails back cover.

11 likesWhen it comes to the cover David lachapelle would be a dream but ONLY if it’s in the vein of her 2017 flaunt shoot (god he would’ve shot such a beautiful cover for COCC. now i’m mad) because he shot Planet Her for doja cat and it looks like a 2013 galaxy paint diy. terrible 😭 neil is always nice tho, love him to death

11 likesif lana works with david lachapelle this is what i'm expecting

11 likesa floating diner in outer space??? The sound??? Okay, maybe we should be getting L4L 2.0 in the witchy form. I am manifesting for "spacey psychedelic future acid jazz witchy trip hop pole dancing whore" music

10 likesKinda agree with this but also Honeymoon's cover is just immaculate and have to admit that NFR's one has aged incredibly well.

8 likesI would love either steven klein, nadia lee or david lachapelle, it would be A DREAM
-
8 likesI would love another Neil album cover, but I feel like we are always hoping he does an album cover for her so I wouldn’t mind a new photographer. I don’t want Charlie anywhere near her though… Steven Klein would be nice

7 likesI want Rick to shoot the album cover and I want her boyfriend to shoot the videos. Arcadia and Blue Banisters’ videos were simple but beautiful. Unless we’re being served total bops then I wouldn’t mind BRTHR returning. Chemtrails’ video was super trips and interesting while also maintaining a very Lana feel.

6 likesI was so confused as to why there was a debate about Chuck working while pregnant, and then I saw that our resident troll is the one who started it, so it all checks out Anyways! December is almost over which means that we're getting closer to the February collab Also, I'm really not too picky about photographers with Lana (i actually like most of Chuck's pictures of her idc), but I do have a soft spot for her work with Steven Klein and David LaChapelle, so those would be nice for LDR9

6 likesliterally. the frequent change in genre and lyrical styles is insane, considering there’s usually 1 or 0 albums between them. for example, Born To Die -> Ultraviolence, Ultraviolence -> Honeymoon, Honeymoon -> Norman they don’t seem like ‘natural’ progressions in sound, because they’re very different from each other, however it’s very clearly a natural progression as she just makes whatever music comes to her at that time
