Imagine being a new fan of Charli and having ONLY heard this album and then you go back to listen to he previous stuff and the first thing you click is Shake It

So this isn’t directly to do with sky but I feel like it sheds light on a similar artist on her label with a slightly smaller audience. Basically two days ago DeathByRomy who’s another artist who is signed to capital came out and spoke about the treatment of artists by their label. She states they dropped her while holding her under contract and are not letting her release songs she paid for herself. I don’t think the exact same thing has happened to sky as they’re not really trying to mold her a certain way anymore but I definitely think it sheds light on the experience of an artist working with Capitol, Why Sky hasn’t done a proper release in so long because a lot of what Romy said is similar to comments Sky made on the “not really” podcast episode about Britney.

The original cover's very "crashed into girl who's this immovable object that somehow survived with some blood dripping down" The deluxe is very "bloody demon girl jumping on car leading you to crash right after". The more I look at the deluxe cover the more obsessed with it I am. It's so eerie. There's murder in her eyes. It's like she's gonna devour whoever's in that car.

Well let's just discuss her as if she's a retired artist then I remember Sky Ferreira! Hope she's doing well these days

Today at work this old guy (like 60s/70s) was wandering around bopping and I mean BOPPING, he came up to me and said “what is this music I’m in love” I was like “it’s called Twice by Charli XCX”and then this younger guy comes in while Move Me is playing and I was singing along and he says “I was JUST listening to this on my way here” the taste of the people around here, impeccable

Sky has been dead for years, yet our goddess Charli asked her through a ouija board if she wanted to make a final song for the gays and when Sky said yes, Charli resurrected her for a few minutes just to have her record her lines and then went to hell again. Praise Charli XCX for this huge bop.

I came here to vent! I love Sky’s music and everything she does, but she needs to apologize if she doesn’t drop anything. Sky herself has hinted at a March drop and is aware of fans expecting something. Sure, she doesn’t owe us anything, but don’t troll us if you’re not dropping anything. She’s way past the ‘mysterious’ drop and the ‘subtle’ hinting. It’s been a decade. At this point it’s just rude. We need to lock this thread if nothing happens.

lana should really stop teasing albums so early. like with rock candy sweet and white hot forever, because when she told everybody chemtrails was coming september 2020 everyone was expecting it. i feel like if she just came out and said that chemtrails was coming on it’s actual release date, she wouldn’t have had to put lmlylaw as the lead single and just made cotcc the lead single and the album would’ve done so much better. same with bb, she should’ve waited until she actually got the name and the album cover ready

Every song on Crash really is a bop. The only one I don't care for is Every Rule because I'm not huge on ballads in general but it's good and I appreciate the lyrics. I also love that this album only has 2 songs with features, like this album really is just Charli's voice and I love that since she's been heavy on collaborating over the years which is great but I like that she took a step back from that to just create some solid solo pop songs. I'm crying. She's a legend.

Obvi I'm not against the idea of having threads for dead artists/bands like we could do one for The Beatles I wouldn't mind but this thread is still so active and trending with no news constantly and stuff. It's sad for all of us tbh

She's really containing herself this time. We know an album is in the works but she didn't say anything about the title, song titles, fake dates, misleading covers and not even a snippet Even though I'm thirsty for news it's very exciting to know nothing about what's to come (and we at least have a new song coming next month for the meantime)

She’s impulsive and gets waaay ahead of herself. She thinks an albums all figured out but she gets a change of heart and mind, her ‘inner indecisiveness’. She should only announce dates when everything has been finalised it’s that simple.
