Here’s as much of the full performance of Luckenbach, Texas we have edited together, we’re missing a bit of the end of the first chorus and beginning of the second verse and the first three words of the song lol. This is such a cute moment!! x

It's beautiful when you connect How To Disappear's "I'm always gonna be right here", to the title of the album. like a true water sign

Well there’s this little holiday you might have heard of called Christmas. And on said holiday, only Mariah Carey can release songs. It’s the law.

After reading Lolita for the past week, I never realized how much Nabokov/ Lolita heavily influenced Lana until recently With each page, I see glimpses of Lana's songwriting style in Nabokov's eloquent, vivid, and beyond beautiful writing style. I also never realized how much she borrowed certain phrases and aspects from Lolita and incorporated them into her own work. With the more obvious references like Lolita (BTD song) and 1949, I never realized that Carmen was inspired off of the fictional "Little Carmen" song mentioned in the book. She also seemingly borrowed the phrase "glimmering darling" from Lolita as well I also can't forget Lana singing about many other motifs mentioned in Lolita, such as road trips, older men, Americana, white socks, and being in that Pontiac from July to July (despite the month actually being May in the book ). Anyways, I'm absolutely sure that I'll find the source of more references that Lana has made as I continue reading

I wonder if Chappell is opening or something. Ben and Ed commented on her post today and she posted an old picture a few days ago wearing a soccer saying it was an easter egg for something…possibly an easter egg for performing in football stadiums in the summer with Lana. Plus Lana following her recently.

I wish she didn't address the comments on her appearance... she's right obviously but defensiveness never has impact. She should give the illusion of being unbothered and just keep her head down with striving for her goals. Don't let these petty losers and your insecurities get in the way of a good moment for you after YEARS

so gorgeous i wish sky would stop biting her cheeks whenever she's at the red carpet tho i know does that to go for the more model-esque look but she looks 10x more youthful when she's not doing that and this pic is evidence

The scarf emoji is probably in reference to a lyric. I just noticed her caption said “a few songs before Stagecoach” which means more than 2 singles before April . I think the only thing we’ll be getting this month is a Christmas post. Something’s coming early January, though, I can feel it

Omg, this is a such a cool find! This reminded me how I had always loved the story about that Hollywood sign which the director of the trailer, Constellation Jones (he also directed White Dress) talked about: "The hardest part of this whole video was the Hollywood sign. We wanted a night shot of the Hollywood sign as it looked, all lit up in the 1950s. Of course, the sign is not lit up anymore. So I and a few friends built the sign and the mountain out of papier-mâché, foam, chicken wire, and old school Hollywood-style model-making in my garage. The neighbors thought I had lost my mind when they saw me knee deep in papier-mâché. Blink and you will miss it, but all of that from the tower to the sign to the bushes and trees were all made by hand. Probably would have been so much easier to have someone build it in 3D, but it was so much fun playing in mud, glue, and paint for three days."

I was wondering that too as I also saw those comments from Ben and Ed, but also I think it could mean that maybe Ben and Ed are managing her now. News broke that she split with her previous management about a month ago, so perhaps she's now partnered with them at TaP. It would make sense why Lana followed her recently if she's become part of the crew, and if they are in fact with the same management now, we could possibly anticipate some future projects together such as a collab or even touring together! I would die seeing them both at the same show, I saw both of them at Hangout Fest earlier this year and need a round 2 immediately x

Some of you be saying anything I'll just post a quote from Dean Reid (one of her collaborators) about how Lana hears music, and many of the things you mentioned are intentional. Dean Reid: “We do a lot of low-pass filtering and lo-fying to take the edge off the high end. We use plug-ins all the time to darken stuff. With vocals and acoustic instruments I’m always notching out harsh frequencies. Any high squeal or ring will be sucked out. Lana likes to listen to things on her iPod on the beach, and she wants them to sound murky and mysterious. We’re very conscious of that. If we do something that doesn’t fit and that sticks out, we immediately get reactions from Lana or Rick. There is this thing about Lana that if we know she’ll be showing up in half an hour, we have an instinct about what she’s going to like and what not, and so it’s like: ‘Hurry up and make it sound good, so when she walks in the door she’ll be smiling.’ And if she’s not smiling we know how to pull it together really quickly. But she’s in the room for much of the process, and incredibly meticulous about vocal levels, for example. A lot of the vocal rides are dictated by her. She hears 0.2dB differences in volume, and when we got the first mastered songs back, she was really dismayed by how they sounded, and it turned out to be the dithering down from 24- to 16-bit that was bothering her! She has great ears and an impeccable sense of aesthetic.” https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/inside-track-lana-del-rey-lust-life
