16 likesA new Lana x The Weeknd collab would be so exciting Lana x The Weeknd on January 24th and then the first TRPWS single (Henry, Come On ) sometime in February would feed us quite well And I do think we will definitely get another interview around the time she will release Henry, Come On, in which she will spill about more tea about the album to slowly recreate the buzz around the album again

9 likesIt is a separate project. Though I still view it as an EP rather than an album. Lana said in 2012 interviews that it’s a separate body of work (than BTD), and the EP has a separate tour, era etc. Kinda bothered me when people merged paradise as a part of BTD Plus… paradise is 100000x better than BTD…

7 likestwo Lana albums have made it into Rolling Stone's 250 Greatest Albums of the 21st Century So Far 62: Born to Die 15: Norman Fucking Rockwell!

6 likesI've always seen it as an EP, since it was also released as one. But whenever someone says "Paradise is my favourite album" i don't try to correct them, because why would you be that bothered Albums, releases, bodies of work, its all the same to me for the most part.

6 likesI also think paradise is an album for the most part. More like a double album to born to die (wish it got 1 more song tbh)

6 likesThe Truth is we ignore a lot of stuff about Lana that is negative because cognitive dissonance is easier than facing potential truths over an artist we love, Lana does bad things and makes poor decisions just like anyone else. We turn a blind eye to some things because we love her music and she still has a lot of good in her that outweighs the bad.

6 likestotally random (appropriate for the random lana discussion thread i guess ) but i was just thinking, i wonder if lana collects anything? like i'm sure she probably collects vinyls or some other kind of physical music, but with the way she's moved around a lot in her life (NY, california, alabama, etc) and described having a somewhat nomadic lifestyle at certain points, i wonder if she's somebody who owns a lot of stuff or is more of a minimalist. like idk does she like to collect vintage magazines? ornate wine bottles? decorative plates? antique glassware? star wars funko pops? is she a candle girly with a huge supply that could last a year? does she have any vintage film or tour posters on her walls? would she go nuts in the B&M soft furnishings aisle? so many questions

6 likesIdk if this has been said before, but I’ve always thought the name of this poem was not only about fires in LA, but also the camp fire that happened in November 2018. Maybe the name is just a coincidence, but it destroyed almost the entire town of Paradise in Northern California. It was the most deadly and destructive California fire at the time. The 2025 LA fires are now the most destructive, hopefully not more deadly. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Fire_(2018)

5 likesI say yes! I see lots of people arguing about this for some reason? And I just wanted your opinions. Lana’s Spotify description (before it was changed to blank) stated that Born To Die was her debut album (which I agree with) and Ocean Blvd’s album cover states that it is Lana’s 9th album. Therefore, since BTD is her debut, Paradise would have to be considered an album to make up the 9, no? 1. BTD 2. Paradise 3. UV 4. HM 5. LFL 6. NFR 7. COTCC 8. BB 9. Ocean Blvd (and 10 obviously TRPWS) Not only that but it’s listed as an album on Spotify and it does qualify as an album not an EP. I personally believe that Paradise is a separate album! Now I’ve tried to have this conversation with people before but they were always on the defensive for some reason and I was hoping to have a decent normal person conversation with people about this topic.

5 likesI see Paradise as an EP but a completely separate project from BTD with its own vibe, era, tour, etc. Honestly it is anything but an extension/deluxe edition of BTD.

5 likesI'm so done with all the EP/Album discussion, people are so nitpicky about it, especially with Ethel Cain's new release. It's come to the point where there's more discussion about "why is this an EP it's 90 minutes" than the actual music itself. I don't see why it matters, it's just a technical thing, a decision made by the artist or the label. It's like bickering over the packaging of a salad, I don't care about the box just lemme eat my fucking salad

4 likesi think it counts AKA as her first studio album (and born to die as first major label), making ocean blvd 9th but i think paradise is an EP that should’ve been an album and we are all free to consider an album and i consider it as such

Need a final version of this one so bad. I truly haven’t yearned for a Lana song like this in such a long time. Poetry in Motion is just so heavenly. -

4 likesIf this album is a bit of a reset on her persona / totally new direction after the last 3 records then I hope she works with someone new on the album artwork. She’s reinvented herself numerous times through her career: from Lizzie to cinematic sadcore Lana to west coast grunge rock and roller to Honeymoon’s lush old Hollywood jazz singer to 60’s hippie beginning to self reflect on her place in the world to deeply introspective poet who can’t get off her piano. I hope she puts effort into the visuals again even if (actually, especially if) TRPWS is an acoustic guitar, stripped down album.

Unpopular Lana Opinions
Cow and 2 others liked a post in a topic by Embach
Cherry in general bothers me, like for me the production and lyrics are great but the fans ruined the song for me, like even way before TikTok fandom was a thing. It's like the most local song ever and I hate to say that word, like this song has all of them on chokehold. I haven't listened to the song in a long time. It used to be my favorite song from LFL but not anymore. I think all the fans begging for "CHeRrY mUsiC ViDEo" for like 2 years really was the last straw idk Not to mention when the OG Lust For Life 2016 tracklist was revealed in November, I remember how everyone on Instagram comments were crying that "why Cherry isn't there", that "thank god she scrapped it" because "there's no Cherry" -
