20 likesI was listening to an insta live in the studio from before NFR and she sung a bit of the demo after singing the song. This might be common knowledge but I just realised that the bridge of Bird World (NFR demo) sounds the exact same as the begining of DBJAG's chorus: You keep changing all the time You're changing your goddamn mind You know you like to shine But I don't have a clue It's at 8:20 It makes me really want another producer on RCS because there's just so many outtakes on COCC...

16 likesIf she continues to “strip down” the sound even more, it’s just going to be her singing to a phone...
-
16 likesif there's ONE thing i want it's for her to stop "stripping down" the sound, please i can't deal with it anymore i don't care about the producer, the genre, the sound, the aesthetic, as long as it's not more "stripped down"... at this point more stripped down is just going to be jack playing one single muffled piano note and her just making croaking throat noises for 2 minutes. if anyone could make it work she could but still

15 likesI would literally take fake insider info at this point, I just want SOMETHING to talk about in terms of this album. The fact that we've made 322 pages of discussion over 2 Instagram posts and something she might have said to a fan is impressive lol. I always forget what it's like starting the album cycle with no information, but 99% of the time, that's how it starts

14 likeswait i have something delusional and important to say... remember when lana did her denny’s livestream and was talking about the delay times and when we added it up we thought that the record wouldn’t be out until june or july? maybe she was getting chemtrails and rcs confused and that’s why her entire explanation made no sense

13 likesMaybe it was a dream but didn't Lana lowkey complain that jack stripped the songs too much on Chemtrails? I'm confident that he's not going to be the main producer on RCS. They weren't together recently and we know she worked with other people on her side projects so maybe the album came from that sessions. And the fact that that hiphop (?) producer followed her and liked the pic is pretty promising.

12 likesIt's funny how people view NFR as her least commerical album..when intact its on par BTD and surpasses LFL in terms of promo. Yes we did have a long gap between the singles. But she went crazy with the radio Interviews. The grammy museum. The grammy student academy. The ice cream truck. The sublime cover. The season of witch. There was actually so much promo done :o Not to mention the Gucci which also added to its hype... I want same energy from RCS.

11 likesthe fact that she did an intimate little live stream concert and STILL used backing vocals She’s the same woman who apparently made over 100 demos for LFL, it doesn’t really bug me when she reuses melodies, and we have no idea how much of her stuff has been recycled (we would never have known Bird World’s melody was recycled if she hadn’t sang it live for us). but I do agree either way that I’m manifesting Zach very hard

K&OL was hacked near the end of 2020. That’s how Needle & Thread is a known title. So pretty much every K&OL song including early MM3 demos can leak. It’ll probably take a few years for EVERYTHING to leak but I’m sleeping well knowing that “king of the arcade” might be a K&OL song.. i dream about this song -

10 likesI sure hope so it is. if it wasn’t when she announced the damn June 1 date, then I’m gonna scream why the fuck did she blur out that date, when even a second-grade child could see there weren’t 90 days between March 20 and June 1. As for promo, everything isn’t wrapped, probably. I still hope for summer songs from her, but maybe more an August album (again) rather than a June one (and we’d be lucky to have another complete project from her in the same year).

9 likesI know he isn’t the most reliable source, but the fan that met Lana in Texas asked her about RCS and she said it was still coming and she was working on new songs that could mean either RCS is done and she’s working on new songs, or she meant she’s working on new songs meaning RCS Lana has been working on two albums since November so it’s not unlikely that the album is done in terms of song being recorded (as others have said) but I highly doubt anything else is done (videos, promo slots, physical production) I hate using insiders as sources, but I feel like if any kind of gears were turning we’d know about it by now, being about a month from release This feels less real than July/August did during COTCC release because by now insiders at least knew that the songs were sent in to be mastered, and this time it’s been crickets from literally anyone even remotely involved

8 likesyeah! She made comments that she kept trying to tell Jack to spice it up, but I’m pretty sure in a different interview either her or Jack made the comment about how they wanted to strip the songs down completely until they got the songs in ‘their most natural form’ so obviously there was some miss communication somewhere I really don’t think Jack is going to be involved with RCS. I think he’ll be involved in the audio book (assuming we’re getting one) and maybe the album after RCS

7 likesA sniper at least could give us something to talk about. And it would give us an idea of the sound and theme. She need to stop playing games or at least change to a new one. We're getting tired of the random announcements followed by complete silence and delays

I have and will never appreciate an artist more than Sophie. Genuinely changed my life and is a constant source of inspiration both during her life and after her death. I truly do not view music the same as i did prior to discovering Sophie. Such a legend in so many ways, and still as I'm typing this haven't fully processed her passing. Most people may not relate to grieving a person you don't actually know, but when they have changed your life: there's truly no other way to feel. I makes me laugh that the same person that made hilarious songs e.g. NYC2MIA is behind such serious, harsh and agressive music. Literally so versatile and unapologetic. Truly an icon. 7 likesI actually have a reallyyy cute gift idea that I want to put together to give her during the next time she tours, so if/when that day comes, I’ll let you all know what it was and if she liked it lol. I’ve given her a few things in the past, and I always like what I give to her to be custom/hand-made. I feel like it’s more special that way on both ends x

7 likesThis isn't true at all. There have been tons of magazines with stories about the new album, the album went to number 1 and has sold out in stores near me. The album has stayed in the top 10 albums on Discogs. Just because you haven't looked doesn't mean the attention isnt there. i don't think she does -- look at her twitter with the "thank you" post the same day it came out. a lot of people have subjective definitions of "successful" and "failure" but she knew in 2019 the album wouldn't have the acclaim NFR got. "I kind of feel bad for his little sister" talking about COCC in comparison to all of the reviews for NFR. she already knew she wouldn't get the same acclaim so i don't think she really cared about it getting praise and that's why she's so quick to move on because it doesn't matter to her so much. a lot of people did give it critical acclaim though so it really wasn't much of a failure as far as what she more than likely expected
