Everything’s a hot mess right now but FINALLY my signed card arrived! It’s beautiful and the silver ink looks almost holographic in person, very reflective and bold against the more matte-like card. I don’t have tons of Lana merch, I just have what I have, so I feel so lucky to have been able to get something like this! The tail of the letter Y even has her finger print very clear on it hkfhgkjxhg 🥺💖

Not to leak shame anyone but… we have gotten so many new songs in HQ and so many stems how do y’all have the heart to ask for more leaks 😭😭😭😭😭😭 like even if y’all want the song so bad aren’t you so overwhelmed by the songs that leaked ?? Yeah, it's because it's a different version. There are notable changes during the bridge, and when the second verse ends, the "do you wanna have some fun?" vox is missing. This same "do you wanna have some fun?" from the end of the bridge sounds different, like it had different editing. I'm pretty sure those stems are not "missing", it's just we got the stems for a different version of the song. It slaps to have a lossless version, but the final remains the superior imo

This is going to be long, but this is just my opinion so feel free to skip over it. I agree that the K-12 album ended up being regressive, and the film was lacking. But I fully believe that with better beat production, and taking the time to work out the issues with budget restrictions, it would have been a commercial success. Melanie was definitely putting 110% of her effort in, and unfortunately it just missed the mark. Keep in mind, she also had an extended writing team and multiple producers on Cry Baby that she didn't have on K-12, which explains a lot about Cry Baby being the stronger of the two albums. In a way, it doesn't feel to me like a complete Sophomore project, but more like it should be stapled on to the Cry Baby album, and I think the lack of input from more experienced musicians is why. After School is the most recent example of her music(aside from leaks), and while I think it's a big step forward in her lyrical growth, it still feels messy at points. The lyrics often sound crammed in, the beats Keenan created were anticlimactic, and some of the songs don't even seem to belong on the EP(I.E. Notebook, which everyone apparently disliked, and Bakery, which should have remained a single). It appealed to a much smaller audience her past projects, and even many of her fans seemed to dislike the EP as a whole. As someone who admittedly grew out of the CryBaby album very quickly, and was never very into K-12, I'm anxious to see her evolve and move on past the restrictions of the Cry Baby storyline. It would be one thing if she was releasing side projects of separate material in different styles, but she isn't, and it's definitely going to affect her career if she isn't careful.

WELL I saw her last night and oh my gawd... she was amazing!! The vocals, the dance moves, the energy... I think the highlights for me were: Rina saying 'HELLO LGBTQ COMMUNITY' at the start Everyone crying during chosen family (including Rina herself and the guitarist and drummer) Everyone constantly chanting 'RINA! RINA! RINA!' to which Rina seemed to get emotional STFU! Comme Des Garçons Love Me 4 Me Ugh even though I was originally meant to see Rina last May, this was so worth the wait!

And still no Shinigami Eyes I really thought the album would be out by the end of this year, and not even the first single is out by now. I guess it's not a brand new era without at least 3 false starts.

Am I tripping? I think at least one stem is missing from the Come to My Party pack. I'm trying to mix it down but there's a little part in between the two halves of the first verse that is missing. Like a little effect or something. EDIT: Or... we got the stems for a (slightly) different mix of the song the bridge and the buildups are different. Like, notably. EDIT 2: Yes it's a demo or something. Lemme upload it real quick.
