Seems like she's already working on LDR11 while LDR10's getting mastered for the digital drop on September 1st! She moves so quick

i think Lana has a lot more control in the studio, even or especially with Jack, than people wanna give her credit for. beginning with NFR and increasing through BB, her songs have included more of a wildness, even a messiness, that's more folky, more raw, than her very much polished early work. critics derided BTD for being over-produced. yet with her recent albums, she discusses in her lyrics and interviews her drive towards wildness and freedom, and i think you can really hear it in the music. when the last three albums first came out, i loved them, but i was a little critical of the difference between them and her prior work. now, i feel like it's sunk in more, like i finally get it. she just produces beautiful art naturally, and she's become more real and more intimate/personal in her music and lyrics. the more time passes since Blue Banisters, the more I appreciate the direction she's been moving in. it feels so natural, and like she wants to be more natural. she wants her music to be honest, natural, real, raw, even or especially if that's "messy" or wild. she expresses being wild a lot. she talks about wanting to get away from the city, from LA or NY, and explores more small town USA feels, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, more middle America type stuff, going to the mall, doing mundane tasks like washing hair or laundry. i think it's totally Lana's choice and her own direction taking her to the sound she has now, and tbh I love it.

Give me that lush Honeymoon and Paradise style production. I listen to the instrumentals so often because of how incredible they are.

Okay so if yesterday was piano argument day and today was Jack argument day does that mean tomorrow is unreleased songs on albums argument day or country music argument day? I get mixed up sometimes sorry 🤪

honestly, when i first heard jack was working with her for NFR, i was not expecting what came of it. only because the last jack project is listened to before NFR was melodrama. i’m wondering if lana had a lot to do with his current sound and why other artists have been wanting to work with him post NFR, they all seem to want that similar sound that he did for that album, so i think a lot of his production style recently is heavily influenced by lana more so jack. so needless to say, whatever sound she wants for this album, jacks gonna work with HER to capture that sound. just my 2 cents xx

Now tha i connected the pieces i realizes some things: - Lana's is actually producing this album almost a year non stop because we have A LOT of times that we got her working on that starting in december 2021 with the variety awards (saying that already was doing something and ''the next one would be even better''). - The W photoshoot aesthetic have substancial chances to be the vibe of the album if we think about how lana interferes in the creative process when shes doing any kind of collaboration job like that (like when se covered complex magazine during the lust for life promotion and said the she would only give interview if they did in black in white and with the ''Malena'' aesthetic). And it seems that the interview was done in the middle of the creation of what this album is going to be. - This is the first time that we have a lot of speculation and different names for the production team... far different from place we've been with bb and cocc. Like theres a possibility to have, jack, gabe, rick, jon and drew at the same record. Sound exciting.

I genuinely don’t mind who produces the record as long as we get another White Dress/Venice Bitch moment I want to go rabid in the best way possible lol

if lana shared a snippet of a song produced by john batiste, & last night, jack antonoff posted a photo of lana at his studio, it’s only correct that tonight, rick nowels will post a picture of lana recording vocals for their latest song watch!

they purposefully posed in front of the guitars and not piano to give dedicated fans the subtle hint that guitars will be featured rather than piano on the tracks they’re currently recording and she’s standing on both the carpet and the hardwood floor to hint that this album will be a mixture of different styles that contrast but still fit together. she’s also wearing pink socks because rock candy sweet will be on the album and rock candy can be pink and her hair is side parted because she’s teasing that the album will fit in with her albums that have her hair side parted on the cover, uv btd paradise and aka and the oceanic wavy look of her hair is teasing that it will be a seaside smooth album and have warm coastal aspects and a jazzy twist

it's honestly tiring to see Jack Antonoff slander atp as if he was not the same dude who helped Lana produced White Dress & Venice Bitch - literally 2 magnum opus art pieces of her catalogue back-to-back.

I just knew when I saw that jack post there would be some delicious discourse on this thread. Anyways, can’t believe Blue Banisters came out less than a year ago and we’re already getting new music soon. We’re so spoiled, it’s truly incredible how Lana’s brain never stops and her pen never dries. Manifesting a honeymoon post by the end of this week

crazy right? It’s like he’s doing what Lana wants to do yall can hate on jack/piano/whatever but at the end of the day, what we’re going to end up getting, is what Lana wants to release

it’s so frustrating and sad looking back at how much hype there was around sky in february-may and now it’s all completely gone after a bunch of bad performances don’t forget has almost 2 mil spotify streams which i think is really good considering it’s had no promo i’m worried for sky, like something is truly up for all this to be happening. it can’t just be label issues or her being a perfectionist/slow worker. i hope she’s okay

Maybe she's having a separate listening party with each of the producers that worked on the album before the surprise drop next week

exactly, it was after nfr that this kind of sound started blowing up and it's not jack's fault if everyone wants some mariners apartment complex moment in their career. lana truly is an amazing producer, and you can tell she's the one in command whatever may be the producer she's working with.

omg you guys are acting like jack is the spawn of satan. he’s a really great producer, and I don’t blame lana for working with him again. The music industry is a very disturbing place, especially for women. Some producers can seem totally respectful, but in reality, they’re creeps. If she wants to keep working with him, good. this is my personal opinion but tbh, I’m glad lana is using more piano, pedal steel guitar, and more instruments that aren’t made using a computer. I loved born to die, but her albums that aren’t so pop-ish like blue banisters, chemtrails, and uv had a larger impact on me than btd.

the jack discourse is so tiring. the man produced the majority of her best album and lana likes working with him. it’s time for y’all to grow up 😭😭😭
