I didn’t interpret Lana being gone a while to mean anything major to be honest! I interpreted it to mean she wouldn’t be posting her little photo dumps or personal moments for the next 6 days. I still think she is going to post things related to business - so the album cover, tracklist, and a little clip from the music video on Monday (but then not so much after that)!

I can’t wait until we have both Chemtrails and Behind the Iron Gates together. Considering how recently the poetry from the book was written, I definitely think we should see some parallels between the record and her writing (assuming the book was largely written before recording the album).

Yeah, I don’t think she’ll be as active on social media after Monday compared to these past few days! Social media can be so draining and Lana definitely deserves a break if she feels that she needs one! <3 I actually always admired that about her, the fact that she always stuck to her guns and knew what was best for her and just did that.

I guess that means Behind the Iron Gates could still be coming this year! Probably not in March but hopefully soon! “Compiling” it suggests she’s just structuring the order of the book and getting all her pages formatted for widespread book printing and distribution I guess?

ok, re-reading the caption again. from what i understand, it doesn't necessarily mean she's gonna disappear RIGHT away. but maybe after the record drops, she's warning us that she'll be inactive focusing on iron gates after chemtrails is released.

I think Behind the iron gates will be way more serious than Violet and it excites me

Sincerely don’t want to get dragged for this, but I’m lowkey excited for the next book! From her description, Violet seemed to be a collection of both old and new poems, and I think Behind the Iron Gates reflects more recent, matured writing. Patent Leather Do-Over honestly blew me away (especially the middle chunk of it), and I’m truthfully way more excited about this project than I was Violet!

How can she say she'll disappear, when she has a single and album coming out soon just what is her mind

Norman Fucking Rockwell deserves all of the acclaim it gets - which I know is not an unpopular opinion outside of this site. The album feels fresh and expansive for Lana without feeling disingenuous and it yields some of Lana's objectively best songs of her career; I'm particularly thinking of Mariners Apartment Complex, Venice Bitch, The Greatest, and Hope is a Dangerous Thing For a Woman Like Me to Have - But I Have it. Of course, personal taste affects how you feel about the album, but you can't deny the presence, importance, and determination of the four songs I just listed. If you love this record with all your heart like me, then you probably can speak to the other 10 songs that, in my opinion, are also amazing! It also feels like quintessential Lana and I think that's what makes it such good music; it's comforting because it's very much true to the LDR brand but it offers a perspective that is wistful and productive in a sense! I also love the organic feel to the production - something about a good old piano gives the record a timeless quality, alongside some gorgeous guitars, strings, and the few heavier beats here and there. It has everything that is true to who Lana is, all while being cohesive. <3

You know what I'm surprised has never leaked? The remix of Lipgloss with Brooke Candy. There was definitely a track playing underneath her rapping.

I don't think gone for a while means she abandoned the era. I guess everything is ready and will be released on a schedule. I'm sure they have already planned the whole era

Lana's "I'll be gone for a while" post has the same energy as a stan account on Twitter who got exposed being a toxic person in a groupchat, got cancelled and decided to 'take a break' from Twitter until further notice

i don't blame her for wanting to take a step back out of the spotlight and social media after all the work she's been doing with cocc and it'll probably be a big release but i just wish she would've waited at least the day after it was released to say all this, it's good her poetry makes her so happy but can she just focus on one thing at a time not when COCC is probably gonna be her last big budget era that she puts effort into cause she never wants to do it again

These post are really wholesome and calming I'm very happy that she's working on Behind the iron gates now. Maybe it's gonna be a late summer/fall release
