When she transitions from "I'm still so strange and Wiiiilllld" to "you're in the wind I'm in the waaaater", Windows f*ckin shatter. Walls crumble. Electrical currents disrupted. It's EVERYTHING you just want to scream to the wind when she sings it out. We were never gonna be ready for this album!!!!

lust for life had 16 tracks but when it was released, 5 had been released already, 3 (cherry, white mustang, change) had been heavily teased (with several snippets), so that left us with 8 songs that were fresh, BUT we had had 30-second snippets of those 8 tracks too nfr had 14 tracks but when it was released 6 had been released already, 1 had leaked, 4 (cinnamon girl, hiab, how to disappear, nfr) had been heavily teased, so that left us THREE songs that were fresh (although 2 of them had been teased on her instagram, and we had had 30-second snippets of each too) in the end, chemtrails has 11 tracks, but only 2 of them have been released and 2 of them performed live, so 7 tracks are still fresh (I'm including tulsa jesus freak because the snippet was short) AND we haven't heard the 8-second snippets this time around conclusion: this album is going to be the one with the most unheard material since honeymoon

It's very amazing how Lana is always there for you when you're at your lowest. Chem "it's never too late baby so dont give up" BB "life is beautiful but u dont have a clue" MAC "u lose ur way just take my hand....." YNWA..the whole song LiB. "Life is still beautiful" CB "theres much to learn..so much to see.." And many more. Its times where u contemplate suicide and Lana is like "I gotchu bby. You're safe with me. There is more to life. Dont leave without seeing everything yet." I don't think many other artists have this power. Apart from few songs like Taylor's Soon you'll get better. There Is a celestial motherly goddess feeling Lana emits in these songs.. Or is it just me

Also let's not talk shit about the masterpiece that VB is plz ... I doubt we will ever get anything as beautiful as this song from our queen ever again

I really love the lyrics of Venice Bitch. They may not be straight forward but they say so much in such a unique way. White Dress is going to blow us away, do not fear.

the fact that she's going to sing in her higher register on yosemite... and it's a sweet acoustic guitar track about being in love... maybe this era really is the revival of lizzy grant...

the fact that it was described as "beautiful & folky" by clay... a sonic mix between aka & honeymoon, with a touch of sirens...

I listened to COTCC once on a walk on a stormy day and wow it was like all elements united and it made me feel like god I was flying. POWERFUL And agree the title track hasn't aged a bit & sounds still good along with other LDR classics like Heroin and so on. SHE DID THAT

I think the end of Chemtrails will actually go really nicely into TJF. It ends with just the drums and then silence and then out of nowhere “you should stay that close to Jesus” comes through. I think abrupt start of Tulsa works nicely that way.

Let's try to keep the VB and Norman discussions in the NFR! post-release thread from now on?

Imagine she starts to post a photo/selfie related to a track for 11 days, leading up to the album release An unseen photo of the Neil Krug Alternative Cover Shoot or BTS photo of WD music video White Dress The next day a photo of Chemtrails Chemtrails Over The Country Club A selfie of Lana in Yosemite for Yosemite and so on I would love that

Joan Baez's granddaughter so cute telling Lana she's going to have a mini celebration with her friend for COCC release. Literally all of us.

This album feels more ‘day in the life’ than NFR. Never once have I spilled my clothes on the floor in a new car, but I have washed my hair and do my laundry Dance Till We Die is going to actually be about sweeping and mopping the floors while dancing (because who doesn’t do that) and we’re dying soon bc of the state of the world

Listening to LMLYLAW is so comforting now that we've had it for months It feels so familiar and fun jiving with it. It brings me back to the late autumn early winter from when it came out Giving us that time to let it grow really is gonna make us love the album a lot more. So glad it came out as a single first instead of being an album song, we'd definitely would've looked over it 100%

dance till we die... sure the title is but her "tribute" tracks - living legend, TLY, others i can't think of - are beautiful and stunning. and mojo called it outstanding

first of all... her songs dedicated to people: living legend, TLY, dance till we die i also NEED to note that she's writing about her life when she was "only nineteen". this places the song in about 2005-2006, which is around when she lived on long island with her aunt and uncle, worked as a waitress (obviously), her uncle taught her to play guitar with those "six chords, and she wrote sirens. sirens is such a beautiful, simple collection of work to me, and the voice and sound is so fragile, delicate, and peaceful. i imagine some of the songs on chemtrails to sound similar - and, considering that this album is folkier, has country-rooted, etc elements, is stripped down, i feel like it'll have tinges of sirens. also because she's writing ABOUT that time in her time when she learned to play guitar and started making music. also note that some random critic said about sirens: "though her vocals are often weak and shaky, her tone sounds delicate and sweet on all these simple tracks". Many critics compared the album to something they would hear in a small-town coffee shop"... does that not sound like the weak and shaky trembling of white dress chorus as described by miss del rey herself? she's pulling us back before everything, before AKA, before kill kill, before that sound. and that's not to say it won't have tinges of AKA. but the descriptions as stripped back, into the wild, country, folk, immediately bring sirens to mind
