I feel like we should not get too crazy about CoCC being the highlight of her career. I don't mean that in a negative way, but not everything has to be a superlative, even though fanculture always tends to talk about how the new single is their FAVORITE song from her and how they feel like her next project will be her BEST one yet. I think CoCC will be a very pleasant project, a more subtle and moody sister to NFR!. Something she probably intended to do with LFL before she decided to mess that album up big time. But right now, it does not seem like it will be the hottest spot of her discography. It seems to be very stripped down, the mood of it is supposedly quite somber and Lana herself would have wanted to work on it more if it would not have been for the pandemic. So yeah, I expect a treat, but I don't feel like it will overshadow UV or HM in any way.

so thoughts. there's definitely a collective underwhelm coming thru the thread which. can't really blame us fully when it comes to the hyperfocus of the record in tandem to the schedule being completely changed. maybe we can lay those topics to rest for the next coming weeks? it sucks definitely but there's literally little we can actually do but wait. the music's still pretty fresh, at least to me. even if I've admittedly overplayed them. further the title track sorta thinning with just the anticipation of a newer update. personally was so intrigued w WD ever since interview mag so having the days sorta bent is a bit tiring to follow. we've had 2 covers. 2 tracks from the album, 3 if u count hearing For Free. a cute music vid for LM..Woman. cinematic masterpiece for the title track. 2 mags. a poetry book. the 2 weeks'll just fly by trust. then fanfare. let's try to make the most of the remaining pre release before the possibility of others complaining about what we didn't get. tl;dr 2 fuckin weeks. we're good.

Ya’ll need to take a breather and get off Twitter/random websites. There is no way the album is delayed without notice, less than two weeks before the album drops. Ben said last week it was coming, her website says it’s coming, random stores (target) say it’s coming

People who say it isn't coming on the 19th don't understand how stressful it would be not only on the record label, but the vinyl plants if it wasn't and they know if they delayed it at this point, things would leak because the vinyls ARE in production right now for them to ship on the 19th.

I miss when she seemed to be so invested in her music and her art. She used to be in interviews nervous as hell and be straight up weird, but the second they asked her about actual music, she would perk right up and get so excited. She loved talking about “her records” and what they mean to her and how she made them, etc. when she performed live, she seemed like she actually cared. She would get sad during the sad songs, smile during the happy ones, etc. Idk how to describe it, other than the fact that she seemed like she really just *felt* it. Same with her music videos, they just felt more personal and like she actually took pride and effort in making them. now, I think the word I would use to describe her is “aloof.” She could care less these days, that’s the vibe I’m getting. I understand that she’s about to be like a ten year vet in the industry, so ofc shes older and less bright-eyed about everything, but still. It all just feels so impersonal now. Her interviews are about anything but music, and when she does actually remember she’s a musician and not a politician or a psychologist, she’s like “oh yeah I made the record, it’s okay I guess.” Her live performances, she seems bored. She just kinda sways around and barely sings, fussing about her vape instead of the people paying to hear her perform. Half the time she looks like she’d rather be somewhere else. Music videos (except for Chemtrails I will give her that) look like they were made on an iPhone in her backyard. Because they were. And I’m not making this about “ugh NFR sucks hahaha” because I’m not even talking about the music itself. I just mean her. She has reason to be more mature and jaded and perhaps tired and “over it.” But if you’re so over it, take a vacation instead of just seeming bored and frustrated. The music is gonna hit regardless bc Shes Lana Del Rey and she is incapable of making bad music. But if she doesnt want to do it anymore, or at least right now, girl take a break. You seem so disinterested in music lol. Damn i fucking ramble a lot
