21 likesMade the trip to Coachella just for Lana and back to LA all in one day, so I'm just now waking up but wow… I haven't seen Lana since the NFR tour in 2019 and while the set hasn't changed much in structure, it was still such a new feeling to see her last night. There is a new energy to her- she is so much lighter, she has learned a lot about herself in the past few years I think. It was fun to watch her riff on stage and enjoy playing music with her friends, and on top of that she looked beautiful and was serving that gorgeous dark aesthetic. I was close to the front and to hear everyone singing Arcadia and Tunnel made me so emotional - and you could tell it made her feel so seen and loved. I don't know how to explain it but she just seems so much more at peace since the last time I saw her. The show just felt so personal, something that only Lana can pull off on such a large stage like Coachella. I have so much more to say but I am exhausted and brainrotted - just wanted to share how lovely it was to see Lana last night. I know people also weren't happy with the Camila guest spot, but Lana was having a blast, plus it was a super fun dance moment not gonna lie. Overall just such a great night and I can't thank Lana enough for everything. Seeing her at Coachella was a dream of mine for so many years and I'm so happy that I got to see it through.

21 likesI went last night and it was SO special... the crowd went INSANE when she came out with the Veil, girls were crying and screaming !!! and to "My My, Hey Hey" Neil young out of the blue into the black rock and roll is here to stay song.. it was SO iconic... also from a crowd view, the backup singers were FANTASTIC they helped bring so much beauty to her performance Camillo was cringe to me but the crowd seemed pleased, especially those that aren't LDR Stans. The leather men carrying her off during Hope was SO SEXY AND HOT.. and then she came out in the leather "lasso" looking type dress and veil, we were gagged. Her and Jon Batiste were MAGICAL AF. and her going to the stripper pole during Candy Necklace was ICONIC AFFFF the crowd was screaming so hard and it kinda low-key is like "yes she can go back to stripping and singing about how she wants or wanted to be loved without being criticized as feigning fragility or glamor" so as a die hard fan since 2014 it really is impressive how far she has come in confidence As far as the without you lyrics, I didn't notice her leaving the "your love is deadly" out but she was overcome with nerves before, she stood for like a 30 seconds - minute meditating almost on stage anyways, 10/10 might be her best performance ever

21 likesAlso - I love how she went from wearing blue for weekend 1 to wearing black for weekend 2, and how this directly reflects the “out of the blue and into the black” lyric from the Neil Young song she made her entrance to tonight. I wonder what that means for her, especially given the line in Get Free, “out of the black, into the blue”…

21 likesEverything felt so organic tonight. Her energy was so lively and the vocals were clear and on point. I loved the black looks (the Lasso tease with the second outfit!) and she looked like she just came back from the Echo Awards in March 2012 Tunnel, Candy Necklace, and Hope were the standouts for me. She shines on those tracks every time. And who else but Lana to sing Born to Die, have Camila fucking Cabello come out with the most chaotic energy, thank Camila for her energy, and then proceed to sing Bartender. ☠️ CAMP! Love her.

19 likesInserting the backstory here yet again: a lady who modeled in Lana’s 1999 Abercrombie shoot, and knew her indirectly, ended up becoming a part of the upstate NY music industry & was in contact with the people who worked around Sirens. Track listing: 1. For K 2. Next to Me 3. A Star for Nick 4. My Momma 5. Bad Disease 6. Out with a Bang 7. Westbound 8. Try Tonight 9. All You Need 10. I’m Indebted to You 11. Pretty Baby 12. Aviation 13. Find My Own Way 14. Pride 15. Birds of a Feather This tracklist lines up with what was at the start of the thread - but also this came directly from Rob Kristofferson, who owns the Sirens CD (but I also thought his CD was missing track titles in the metadata at one point (?!)), as he is the only person to respond so far to the lady. Im trying to see if Rob will possibly pass down the files from the CD again - just to be sure 😬

18 likesI’m not sure if she’s ever not sung Video Games at a performance before.. even shows where she’s had short, 5-song setlists, she still sang it. Even when her mic was cut at Glastonbury, she still made sure to sing it with the crowd! Definitely odd, but they must’ve run out of time and couldn’t cut any of the final 4 songs (2 guests, 2 in the second outfit) in its place x

18 likesOk in get free she says “out of the black into the blue” like it’s a positive thing. Like she’s becoming happier. But during Coachella she literally goes from blue to black in outfit changes meaning a return to her darker mindset. The intro song (My My, Hey Hey-Neil Diamond) also says “out of the blue into the black” and talks about basically going hard instead of fizzling out. The hologram cage interlude talked about women being mothers or virgins and how those are the only acceptable choices in society. But then goes on to talk about sensuality and creativity and not being caged by just the two choices of virgin or mother. She’s mused a lot about motherhood especially in Ocean Blvd and I think this could all point to her giving up having kids and just focusing on her career, her art. Also the ending where she’s carried out felt like a funeral instead of the usual psych ward vibe, then she’s almost reborn into a new era that is just for her. Of course this could all just me being tired af and unhinged. Someone else that’s better an analyzing this stuff chime in! Lol

18 likesHas it been mentioned that the spoken word verse during the hologram was potentially from Clarissa Pinkola Estés’s Women Who Run With the Wolves? I haven’t read it in full so I can’t say for sure but I noticed some of the themes from the book popping up in that - as a reminder, Lana posted about it in August 2019 and referenced it later with the Chemtrails video and in “Beautiful”.

18 likesLana perform Hope is a dangerous thing without making me cry challenge!!!! That was soooo moving with the spoken word outro at the end I can’t. Anyway, quick thoughts since I’m still drying the tears - this show was fckn incredible, miles better than the first show which was already pretty amazing. You could tell her confidence was boosted and wasn’t as nervous as she was in the first show, and that paired along with no mic issues this time produced GORGEOUS vocals. Some of her best ever perhaps. Simply amazing. I’m going to have to rewatch this again tomorrow with friends as the whole show was stellar. Only things that the first show outsold on was the outfit (the light blue worked better with her lighter hair, the black would’ve looked great with her signature brunette though), arriving to the Jealous Girl remix, and Billie as a guest instead of Camila. Camila’s performance still has me giggling tbh lmaooo but Lana seemed to enjoy herself during it, so it was cute to see. Also, was that FJM shade during PWYC…? I thought it was odd that he was on the W1 setlist and didn’t perform either weekend… maybe he bailed last minute. Anyway, god, I wish there was a Weekend 3!!!!! These past two weekend have been a treat! Xx

16 likesNot to be woo-woo-delulu, but I feel like this nap dream I had foreshadowed her Coachella performance a bit.. at the end of Hope she was carried away like a bird with her wings spread, everyone all dressed in black… only to return in a country-inspired outfit, and as some may know Memphis, Tennessee is known for its heavy influence on country music. Anyway, “Blackbird (bringing me to Memphis)” as the lead single to Lasso coming soon xx
