Bob Dylan was the king of announcing projects that would never get released and Joni Mitchell was the queen of announcing an album then delaying it a hundred times. And both of them still released albums almost every year. Lana’s just carrying on that legacy. She’s unreliable, sure, but she still never leaves us without new music for very long and her work is always top quality.

How long must we wait for the nebulous cluster that is Lana Del Rey's 8th studio album? How long must we sit here with our fingers perched over our keyboards, mindlessly spewing words of both frustration and delusion that only drags us down further into the rabbit hole of false hope? How long must we wait for the promising ding of an Instagram notification, telling us that Miss Elizabeth Grant has posted information that could potentially quench our ravenous thirst; a thirst that keeps us trapped in a Lanaboards-esque purgatory to which we can never break free from it's hard iron shackles? These shackles to which we have rusted with our blood and tears. How long must we wait to see the album cover that will makes it's home in our iTunes libraries? How long must we wait until we can have a discussion that doesn't pertain to scat, racial issues and the ongoing beratement of a four-eyed producer who shall not be named? How long must we debate vinyl colours? Cobalt blue, shocking magenta, crystalline white, brooding sangria, healing marbled rose quartz - all of which we know are possibilities, but can never come to fruition due to Lana's fairly recent disinterest in aesthetics. How long must we wait until we fill this thread with hyperactive ramblings of excitement instead of dreary monotonous drivel? How long must we wait until we hear songs that are newborn and crisp? To hear melodies that have never touched nor tickled the wisps of hair inside our ears? How long, I ask. How long?

Can we stop claiming emotional abuse over a singer not putting out music? I'm sorry, but this has already happened and you'd think that by now people would realize that that's not what this is at all, nor is it even worth claiming. We've literally gotten an entire album + three singles this year with the possibility of another album, that's a lot more than most singers do in a year alone. I get that the release date confusion can be irritating and disappointing, but my god Anyways! 9 days until the 4th, which if we do get the album (although I don't think it's likely at all), we should rename it from Independence Day to *whatever the name of the album is* Day

Ya’ll are asking BOZ to ‘save us’ as if he didn’t just spill yesterday. The news is, there’s no news. I did think he had gotten new info last week when he said we might have avoided a delay, but now it’s feeling like the date just hasn’t changed yet (like how FIILY/TG date changed in such short notice both YouTube and google music wasn’t aware of the change) It’s very unprofessional, and I get we aren’t owed anything by Lana and she just gave us an album, but she literally does it to herself by announcing an album and giving a date. It’s not like we’re grasping at straws for new music. She gave us an album name, release date, and singles. I’m not gonna say this is emotional abuse, but it is frustrating and unprofessional (and super annoying)

Lanaboards will always relive the same phases in the prerelease: - An outburst of delulu-energy when a pixel on her website moves or an insider tweets something - Which is then followed by silence for several hours until someone posts "This thread tanked" - Wild speculations, which are the most fun parts together with the delulu-phase - Sweet and creative cover arts - Occasional stan fights - Occasional scat porn attacks - Occasional Jack, Nikki and / or Mike hate - "Lana got lazy", "Lana has to go back to her old sound", "Lana is unprofessional", "Lana hates us", "Lana won't be relevant in a few years" - Gif wars, usually started by legendary icons @Diamantes WILD or @Surf Noir It's like a fever dream that never stops until she finally drops the record and we have peace for a day or so

Okay so USUALLY I don't believe anything she says ever, but I think something is coming around July 4th. She keeps posting nonsense and BOZ made that comment that Dua was releasing something on the 6th and said he was surprised she was, and the whole statement made it sound like he knew something else important was dropping on or around that date. I doubt it'll be an entire album, though I also feel like she will want to drop something to mark the birth of Chunk's baby, because she's sentimental like that.

lana is being unprofessional but that doesnt mean anything or say anything about her relationship with fans. shes an artist. she’s probably taking her time to release everything n make it perfect in her eyes. it could still be coming july 4th considering the singles were a surprise and she still has yet to even acknowledge them. all this mess says about lana is that she’s unprofessional when it comes to release dates and promo. its not that deep.

ldr8 is just kinda nameless and shapeless right now (despite having 3 released singles ) so i'm just waiting for it to have some sort of form i think it also feels so shapeless even with the singles because she allegedly scrapped it after releasing those singles, so they really aren't helpful in understanding what this album will be. like it's very up in the air (which is fun and i like) but i would like... a name

The album is allegedly coming out on 7/4. 7+4=11. There were 11 songs on Lana’s last record. Lana’s last record was her 7th record. 7/11 is a place that Lana was spotted at on July 28, 2020. 2 is a factor of 8, and when you divide the two numbers together, you are left with 4. We took the numbers 2 & 8 from July 28th, but we didn’t do anything to July, so we are left with...July 4th! The math is mathing ❤️ Album out July 4th ❤️
