34 likesI was listening to old money and to young and beautiful and I came to think of how youth and beauty were always themes that concerned her. The idea of getting old, being forgotten , not being seen for your inner beauty but only for your external beauty , not being loved anymore.. idk it got me feeling really emotional

23 likesBOZ said that it's her most confessional and vulnerable album to date. He also described it as "the diary of a lost girl looking for guidance", so I think that this will definitely be her rawest and most personal work to date. The album photoshoot makes a lot of sense. It's an invitation to her most private place - her bedroom (my bedroom is a sacred place now), - where she can express herself freely. Didn't she call the album "conversational" back in May? The title itself initiates a conversation with the listener, and its strong visual metaphor implies that this will be a deep exploration of her inner thoughts. The oversaturated photos of flowers, ocean waves and industrial spaces create a rather unhinged and ambivalent atmosphere as if everything has been contaminated through a dreamlike (or even nightmarish) vision. Even the covers for the mint and light pink vinyl variants toy with this artificial aspect - the clash between reality and fiction - with the colour Neil added to Lana's clothes/eyes etc. It all feels very intentional and carefully thought-out, I think.

13 likesIf Lana quit her career or decided to take a five-year break, I wouldn't even be *that* upset at this point. Seriously. We all need to be a little more grateful with how often she releases great music. Almost ten albums in ten years, over 11 hours of music, hundreds and hundreds of good to great to excellent unreleased. We've been MORE than fed by this woman

10 likesIs there really a song where she responds to the media/critics? In two of my LDR9 dreams from earlier this year, I dreamt there was a song of that nature. Usually when I have dreams in a pre-release cycle, at least one aspect of them comes true given my track record with this over the past years.. perhaps this is the aspect my subconscious nailed this time around x

10 likesIf she doesn’t release a mv for this song it tells me that there’s a mv for another song that will be the true single of the album she better release visuals for this record because with what we’ve seen with Neil they really have a aesthetic and vibe set in place i really wish they recorded a video during the W magazine since that was so beautiful but I need something, if bb and cocc got one, then ocean needs one too it’s a must i love the single, I just know the album will floor me I think the pandemic had her pulling back because the world was in this state of pause now we’re back at it, and she’s really fledged out the bb sound (i love bb btw) and she’s showcasing her best her voice flutters and it does remind me of old Lana as mentioned by other members (comparing it to uv) the way her voice goes into her higher pitch (marred my soul, etc) this record already feels special, like when MAC andd VB was released contemplating Lana under this snowstorm in Canada have a great Christmas and holidays Lanaboards ❤️

in terms of her "mainstream" songs 1999 is sooo good and anyone who dislikes it hates fun i guess? -

9 likesI think this will be the record where she finally gets everything off her chest in a cathartic way, it will pretty much be like looking into Lana's diary and listening to her most private thoughts It's giving her most raw studio album to date, but raw in this sense doesn't mean messy or unfinished like Blue Banisters, but more like AKA/Sirens in a way

1999 is literally the song that got Charli out of label purgatory after the whole mess with XCX World and yet y'all constantly shit on it and Troye smh. It's a bop, they sound nice together, and I don't think Charli would've had the kind of chemistry that gave us the iconic video with anyone else but Troye. And a few months later they even dropped 2099 to keep the PC Music crowd happy as well. Honestly let's be grateful everything happened the way it did because ever since then it's been smooth sailing. In a parallel universe her career ended with the droplet era. -

I think 1999 is such a bop... I guess I'm the only one here who think so
